Background:
Frederic is a physical trainer with Swiss ancestry. He was born in the aquatic sector of Callisto, an area of great affluence and wealth which is based largely underwater. As a young man born into a life of semi-luxury, Frederic had access to the largest gym in the solar system and opted to train instead of study, as he already had all the money he'd ever need.

He eventually became a personal trainer for the wealthy elite on Callisto earning a small fortune on the side. Although his birthname was Frederic Ackermann, he adopted the surname Gainz for his enterprise "Make Gains with Gainz". The trappings of fame also came along when he began to run his commercial on the Interplanetary Broadcast Network. His addiction to working out and his success have made him incredibly arrogant and cocky. He despises weakness and is very fond of talking about his own strengths, punching down on those who are inferior and refuse to "make gainz". He is determined to one up everybody as much as possible, often lying about his experiences in the process.

Upon learning about the disappearance of the crew on board Dalia, Frederic decided to join the investigation. He figured that it'd be a straightforward mission that would boost his profile. He also found it laughable that they were using a puny civilian crew, when they clearly needed somebody with his level of talent.
