Background:
Felicity was born to the president of the celebrity-obsessed, upper class world of Callisto. Her father never had time for her, and her mother generally resented her. In general Felicity grew up feeling isolated from the money and image-obsessed world of her birth. Her one inspiration was her brother, who died during peace-keeping operations on Io. He was hailed a war hero, which upset Felicity even more. They used him as a means to propagate their agenda.

Deciding that his fate was the one which fit her most, she caused an outcry by shunning all further media attention and joining the military. She was immediately met with scorn and ridicule from the rest of the forces who assumed she was just a "pampered bitch". She learned to trust very few people, and the ones who she did trust wound up getting hurt or killed.

Despite this she pushed on, determined to do some good in the world. Her humanitarian aid missions on Io saw her face losing more of her trusted friends which made her over-protective, and caused her to develop an anger when people do stupid things. She still carries an anger toward her family which drives her along.

She was stationed at Europa after the forces considered her PTSD from Io too drastic, although she disputed it. Looking for something to occupy herself with, she discovered the mission to investigate the missing crew of the Dalia and volunteered. If it meant helping out she wanted to do it, and she wanted to prove to her superiors that she was capable enough to handle it.
