Pai Chan was stood in the room silently. She hadn't spoken for a while. This place could really have that sort of effect on people. She was just staring longingly, her mind elsewhere and not really focused on the events around her. It came as no surprise that she didn't notice Sophia standing behind her, hovering silently.

"I'm sorry about this...." She said. The room turned dark as everybody looked on, their breaths held. And then there was the sound of cut meat.

Pai Chan fell to the floor, coughing and spluttering blood as he throat spurted out red fluid onto the floor. Sophia shut her eyes and took a step away, brandishing a small bloody knife. She moved silently to the side of the room, refusing to make eye contact with anybody and slumped down on the floor.

Pai writhed around for a few seconds before coming to a complete standstill. The red stained the tiles around the scrambled image, and her eyes stared upwards in horror, meeting Sophia's dead on.

She turned away and closed them as Pai stopped moving for the final time.

It's dark here. But you aren't afraid of the dark and you never were.

Even as a child, you were taught to be fearless and brave. These disciplines were put into you firmly by your father. He was a hard man and you came to loathe him over time but he knew how to fight. And so did you. It's just...somewhere along the line you lost the will.

Things just started getting out of hand. You know that but still. You aren't quite ready for what lies beyond. And suddenly you feel the cold hand of fear grasping you once more. It's been a long time since you last did...

"I can undo all that has been done..."

The voice enters into whatever remains of your essence. But you don't trust it. You were taught many things and one of those was telling good from evil. The voice sounds warming and inviting but the offer is too tempting. It would want something foul in return.

Still...that's the logical brain talking and that won't be present much longer. Neither will anything. If there's nothing to lose, why wouldn't you want to undo it? Evil though it is, it's a tempting prospect. But it seems there's not a lot you can do anyway. No matter how you try to clutch onto life, it's slipping away far too quickly.

In your mind you're back in your father's dojo. It's a cold place but you are learning and what you are learning will come in helpful now. Because the adventure isn't over, you can't help but feel. You'll need those skills for whatever comes next.

You fight the fear. It won't serve where you're going. And just like that, it and everything else is no more.

You have been killed. This is a sad event that no player wants, but it's part and parcel of the game. It may not be the end though as there are revives from death in this game.

Please ensure you still follow the game rules. You may post in your journal but do not attempt to contact any players outside of the game.
