Queen Genevieve moved towards the Southern exit on the Western side. With another push, she continued her journey, venturing out into unknown territory.
The room beyond was of a standard size, with exits to the North and South. The most striking think about it was the bright red hue. It took her completely by surprise. She'd witnessed another bright red room like this, and on that occasion she'd been forced to climb the staircase. This room had a staircase too, leading up to a sealed chamber. The stairs were laced with candles, that exaggerated the redness somewhat.
The stairs weren't calling her this time. She wandered over to them and began to climb, taking each step with some care. When she finally ascended to the top, she placed her hands on the door, attempting to push it open like all the other doors around here. It didn't move. The door was clearly sealed from the other side. She gave up, dejectedly, and climbed back to the bottom of the staircase.
There didn't seem to be much else to do here. She wondered why she wasn't being called up this time.
It is now Phase 40. Phase 40 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.
