Brie clambered onto the shuttle as the banging from the North got more and more frantic. The door to it had finally opened. Mark hurried behind her and took a seat. Watching the Northern door carefully, she pressed the launch button. Colour flowed back into the world around her as the shuttle fired into action. It hurtled down along the track as the Northern door swung open and something huge bounded into the room.
It was jolting and moving around underground very quickly. It finally screeched to a halt, nearly sending the two of them flying. The door opened and Brie took an unsteady step outwards onto the ground with Mark just behind. The room out here was a standard size with exits to the East and West.
It was dusty and full of old pieces of paper that were screwed up and tossed all over. A computer desk was stood in the middle of the room with a monitor and keyboard. The screen was completely black. Beneath the desk was an explosive, safely deactivated but sealed in place. Books were stacked on the desk unevenly. Brie let out a sigh as memories flashed back to her.
No point in living in the past though. It was time to move on.
It is now Phase 71. Phase 71 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

The floor shifted slightly and Brie felt uncomfortable. It was probably time to move on.

Behind these doors Mark...is our fate. The beginning or the end...or the beginning of the end? It's kind of beautiful actually...I just wanted to say thank you. You've shown me the light, and now my baby is safe from those evil awful people. Airlea wanted to take my baby for herself! I'm glad she's dead...they're all going to be dead Marky, and the good hearted people will live. We'll be heroes! And...maybe Willis will love us...we'll be loved!
I'm glad we went on this journey together. I wouldn't change it for the world. | |
