It'd be so funny if Angela actually stays behind. She'll end up dying alone literally because her rep dropped too low

Angela looked on at the body of Thomas miserably. Parker shrugged.
"Time to move on ya know. Let's just go for it."
Kane nodded.
"Great idea!" He said with a grin as he shoved Origo forward onto the boat.
Origo shuffled uncomfortably.
"Fine, whatever." He said, not too enigmatically. Slowly everybody began to climb aboard.
The various group members grabbed an oar. Wilt rushed over and grabbed Brie's oar for her, holding two. This caused much eye rolling.
"Weren't you a captain once Urk?" Said Parker scratching his head.
Urk was too busy waving his hands a the water. He smiled and an Ace of spades bobbed up and down before disappearing. Parker shook his head. Strange guy.
"All set?" Said Lee, grabbing two oars. Next to him, Boone was waggling a banana around in the water helpfully.
"Then let's go!" Said Lee cheerfully.
Everybody moved their oars slowly but Lee's strokes were enormous. The boat careened and jolted across the water and everything seemed to jerk around.
"Slow down Lee!" Said Ezra. Lee looked back miserably.
"I can't help it!" He said. They were having to shout now. The sounds of the water were increasing. There were waves out here. The former stillness was disappearing. As to what was causing them...that was a mystery.
Boone dropped his banana with a shriek. As he did he noticed a ripple on the water. He began pointing at it furiously but nobody paid any attention.
The boat glided across more water. Rowing was becoming arduous. Wilt panted as he could no longer keep up.
"Time out!" He insisted. Everybody paused for a moment.
"If you two would focus on rowing and not making babies for ten seconds we could-" Angela started and then stopped. They were still moving and nobody was rowing.
Eleanor looked over the side of the boat, curiously.
"It's the fucking current! It's taking us along!"
The boat began to jolt unsteadily, moving towards the East of the vast watery expanse. It was also gaining in speed tremendously. They held on carefully. It was gliding past more land. One of the chunks of land had another wooden dock on it but the details were hard to make out from here. As they looked on in horror, a skeletal shape stalked across it. It glanced over at the group in the boat, shrieked horribly and vanished in a flash of purple.
"I'm getting sick of those guys." Said Culo miserably.
They carried on moving, veering slightly North now until the boat ground to a sudden stop.
"Now what?" Said Ezra, rolling his eyes. Boone was still pointing frantically at the water. This time, Marek followed his gaze and looked down. There was an enormous scaly eye, staring up at them.
"WATCH OUT!" He shouted as the boat shook with a tremendous crash.
There was a reptilian roar from the water, followed by a huge splash. Over their collective heads arced something long and scaly. It seemed to go on for an eternity. Along its back were a number of spines and fins. It cleared the boat and splashed down hard into the water, a fish-like tail submerging in its wake.
There was another rumble as the head of the beast shot out of the water. It roared at the group. It was a dark blue with green hues, scaled along like a lizard. Its reptilian eyes took in the group carefully and it roared once more, revealing an enormous set of razor sharp fangs below a serpent-like tongue. Without warning, the beast lashed forward at the group but at the very last second it stopped.
It froze completely still, looked on at the assembled, let out a huge roar and submerged with a mighty splash. The force of the wave carried the boat forward once more.
"What the hell was that?" Blurted out Kane. The boat was moving of its own accord once more. It veered Southwards and came across a high bridge. The water began to narrow here, forming more of a canal. The canal passed beneath the bridge and so too did the boat it was carrying.
Finally it moved Eastwards and came crashing onto land with a thud. The group groaned and picked themselves up. They were in a small recess at the end of the canal. The land here was the size of a regular room. To the South was a locked door but there was another Eastern exit.
Ezra turned around to look over at the water once more. There was an old, weathered dock here too but no statues. There was also a second boat. It was moving away from the dock, back across the canal all of its own accord.
It is now Phase 13. Phase 13 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Phase 14
Room 5381
Exits: North and South
- The healer IS still in the group
- There's someone in the group who can absorb the roles of the dead. We can call them "Trey"
- The other group is now split into 2 groups of 9 in a manhunt for Carl
- Walton's voice is now telling him that his voice is imaginary and he should separate himself to prevent further misinformation
|
Wilt strolled along the shore by the canal and marched in front of the door. He stretched his shoulders nervously and looked around. Brie was looking very worried. Wilt put on a brave smirk and pushed. He wasn't afraid of the dark.
He stepped into the unknown with his eyes shut. It was better this way. The door behind him slammed shut as he opened his eyes. He was in a long room that was twice the width of a standard room. The Northern door he'd just entered from was on the Eastern side of the room. It extended Westwards and there was another door leading out to the South.
He strolled across the room. It was very dark and filled with lit candles. Their small sphere of light was the only illumination the room had. Standing in the corner was a hooded figure. Wilt leaped and reached instinctively for his sword. Realising that it was no longer there, he cursed. The door behind him opened as the rest of the group flooded in. They glared at the hooded figure. It was the man from before.
"You're very persistent aren't you? No matter. I take it none of you are afraid of the dark."
Wilt smirked.
"I fear nothing!" That ought to impress her.
The man grinned over his thick black beard.
"We shall see." He said.
At that moment all of the candles flickered out. The room went into pitch darkness.
"Where did the lights go?" Came a voice from the shadows. Nobody could see who said it.
"EEEEEEAAAOoooo" Came a sound. They could hazard a guess at that one.
"We shall see how you take to darkness for a while. I will light them all...slowly. In the meantime enjoy the darkness. Now if you'll excuse me...I must be going." Came the voice of the hooded man once more. There was a sudden flash of light and the darkness returned.
Various people fumbled their way around but it was useless. They had to wait for the candles to see anything.
It is now Phase 14. Phase 14 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.
Objectives:
The room is covered in darkness. Because of this, all players will be unable to post with their original accounts this phase. You must log in to a new account, the details for which will be posted in your journals shortly after the phase begins.

Map update for anyone interested.
![Posted Image](http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b504/totallyanonymousfu/labyrinth/MAP_zpsdf6dc514.png)
Keep in mind that the lower eastern half of the map is from Mark and that my placement of it might not be 100% accurate. Those rooms might be somewhere else, I am just assuming they are there for now. By the way Mark, 7997 is listed as a time travel room on your map, but I am sure there was no Eastern exit from 9880 in the past.
Did I get the location wrong? |
|
|
[QUOTE=Eleanor@10/4/2013 11:10]Well, I was saving this in my journal but I might as well post it now so we can make use of the extra hours.
I figured I would compile all we know about the voices (or as much as I have managed to record) so we can better determine what the fuck they are all about.
I will put my thoughts on each case underneath each one.
Phase 2:
Walton was informed by his voice that he would have to stay behind in 1328.
This proved to be pointless since he was dragged through into 9880 next phase anyway.
During the same phase, towards the end, Ezra heard a voice too. He said that his role has nothing to do with hearing voices, unlike Walton's.
His voice told him that if I exited first the following phase dire consequences would befall "7 silent soldiers" in the group.
This happened when we were set to stay behind with Walton, so it was assumed that the voice was warning against me exiting 1328, and the the warning became invalid as soon as we were pushed through into 9880.
I don't think we should dismiss this so quickly. It was an odd message. I thought the voice knew we would end up in 9880 and it was talking about me exiting first from there.
Phase 3:
When Walton joined group Lee, his voice said going east would be a good idea.
When he switched to Kristoff, it told him to go North.
Walton ended up switching back to Lee and we went against the advice of his voice.
Could the voice have foreseen the unexpected time shift which sent us to the past. If that is the case, I suppose advising Walton to go North when he joined Kristoff was a good call, since the cult was the group who intended to time travel.
Phase 5:
Walton's voice said we was in danger if we kept heading North. Some kind of ultimate power was mentioned, and apparently it was up to us what kind of power. The voice said the most critical member of our group would be in danger if we continued North, but it would not specify who.
The following phase Tyron entered the room with the bird cage and was trapped. Tyron was hardly our most critical member, but it was right about looming danger.
Though in a place like this, claiming danger lies ahead is not impressive. There was no sign of this apparent power either, although this could be the unknown item Mark referred to left in the future Lab.
The same phase, Angela received her first message. "Can anyone hear me? Hello?" That was it.
Phase 6:
Walton's voice was pissed off we didn't listen to it and went North. It called us all fools for thinking we could survive by splitting up and that it wouldn't bother giving us warnings anymore if we weren't going to listen. It finished by commanding us not to split up.
Angela was contacted again. This time she got a message saying "Save the cheerleader, save the world"
It could have talking about Brittany, but it is more likely a shitty Heroes reference.
Mark heard his first voice this phase. It said that Carl had stolen the staff and traveled to the past. It told us to lynch him on sight.
This is the only voice whose origins are clear. It is someone from the Cult of Kristoff.
And finally for this phase, Kane heard a voice. It said "If you build it, he will come."
Some cryptic bullshit, probably useless. Might be another shitty reference.
Phase 8:
I don't have any voices recorded for phase 7 for obvious reasons so if someone could fill in the blanks there it would be appreciated.
During Phase 8 Pai Chan was spoken to for the first time. Her voice said that it was assuming that someone could hear it, implying it had contacted others before. It wanted Pai to respond to acknowledge she could hear it, and it asked who and where she was.
Phase 9:
Mark heard his voice again. It said that the labyrinth has two stories and a shuttle.
Phase 10:
Walton's voice showed up again.
It was still very pissed off. It was mad that Tyron was not revived.
Maybe he knew something about him that we didn't, critical member etc.
For not listening, it demanded that Walton separate himself from the group and go off alone. It said if he didn't listen, he would receive the consequences that he deserved.
It then explained that the ultimate power it was referring to was the voice itself and nothing we were heading towards. It said it has the power to control the happenings in the labyrinth. Walton chose not to listen to the voice.
Wise move I think. The voice told us that to continue heading north would be taking us closer to an ultimate power. Then it changed its mind, and was suddenly telling us the voice itself was the power.
Phase 12:
I have got nothing for phase 11 so if anyone could fill me in there please do.
Walton's voice returned.
It claimed responsibility for Thomas's death, and said that Walton could have easily been in his position. It then said to travel in the direction most wanted.
It ended by delivering a phrase to the group. It said "The one that you least expect is the one that should be expected." It gave no reasoning or anything regarding this.
Thomas was obviously a victim of the mirror room. The bearded man made that very clear before the scythe got him. So the voice was bullshitting us. To what end? It wanted to scare us obviously. And the message it left us with is curious but given all the other evidence it just looks like an attempt to sow discord.
Mark's voice returned saying the group was "Backtracking to the staircase. Cerberus is coming."
Phase 13:
Angela's voice came back. It told her that if her reputation went below -5 she would no longer be able to use her role.
Phase 14:
|
Sorry this is so close to the end of the phase, but I wanted to share this.
The voice came to me not too long ago and told me that I have been imagining a voice all along and that there is no real voice. It said that it wants me to separate myself because it doesn't want me to continue giving false information to the group. But there is clearly a voice speaking to me each phase, so it seems as though this voice is trying to trick me not to stick with the group.
(Note to self: stop listening to voice.)[/quotorigin. |

Rankings of my fellow Group L members (past and present) because I'm bored!
Mark
Boone
Eleanor
Urk
Marek
Angela
Pai Chan
Ezra
Stonehard Lee
Queen Genevieve
Tyron
Emperor Fong
Frederick
Walton Cotton
Thomas
Parker Moon
Brie
Sr. Culo
Wilt Silverstone
Origo
Kane
Balagor Ironfist
I can't say I particularly DISLIKE any of them at this point though. Brie and Wilt can get VERY annoying but at least it provides some funny fodder for the group to mock. And seriously, what's going on with Fong? He's been practically non-existent so far.

Phase 15
Room 3545
Exits: North and West East and West
- Angela felt another person get mauled by monster
- according to Mark's voice, the cogs changed the exits for their room too
|
Kane moved towards the Southern exit with a shrug. It would be nice to be out of that hell-hole. As fun as it was watching people parading around like morons in the darkness, he had better things to fill his time. Like finding a stash in the year of the twin serpents. He pushed the Southern door and lightness cascaded in, illuminating all of the faces of his companions. Kane didn't look back and just pushed on forwards. He was a superstar.
The room beyond was small by most standards around here, in that it was the "normal size". They'd been used to some quite airy rooms of late. His eyes took in the walls. The small square room was made out of stone and one of the walls was covered in some kind of intricate mechanism. Probably a trap knowing his luck. He made a bold dive out of the path of danger, just in case. But nothing happened. Picking himself up, he dusted off his shirt hoping nobody saw him. Angela was smirking in the doorway. Whatever.
The rest of the group milled in. An excited Boone rushed over to the mechanism on the wall. Enormous cogs of wood and stone sat in large iron spindles. This display of devices extended far up towards the top of the room, where the towering walls gave way to a small gap above the vast ceiling. He prodded one with an excited squeal as Rita glanced over.
"I don't think that's a good idea, Boone." She said. Boone looked back and nodded, scampering away.
Marek was still curious though. He attempted pushing one of the cogs. It was stuck in place, fairly solidly. He sighed and shook his head.
"The trappings of human industry exist even as far back as here. Such a waste."
Ezra studied them thoughtfully. There had to be a reason they existed.
"Well this is a pointless room. But it at least shall prove to be a restful room." Wilt said, grinning at Brie who blushed. He sat himself down on the cold stone floor with his back against one of the cogs.
There was a sudden grinding noise. The cog behind him jolted and made him leap to his feet in terror. The group looked on as both exits suddenly sealed in place, locking them firmly inside the room.
"I didn't do anything!" Wilt protested.
"Typical." Said Ezra, rolling his eyes.
It is now Phase 15. Phase 15 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

The group were arguing about the nature of romance at the end of the world when suddenly the cogs began turning.
"SHHH!" Said Gowurk, glaring with beady eyes and a happy smile at the turning cogs.
They clanked and clicked together in a seemingly endless cycle. As they did the room filled with a strange green energy from a tank at the top of the contraption. Slowly the room began to rumble as the walls became caked in the mysterious green substance which completely concealed the doors. They held their ground carefully, trying not to fall against the sudden turbulence.
An iron sheet moved over the gaps in the wall above and encased them inside the contraption room fully as it rumbled on, more and more. Finally the rumbling stopped and the room came to a shuddering standstill. The green walls ceased to be green and the iron panel slid away. The stone mechanism on the Southern wall stopped grinding and the doors returned to normal.
Only now they were in different places. One was to the East, and one was to the West. |
|
|
I'm putting this under spoiler because I don't know how to resize my map iand it's literally huge:
I don't know where we are in relation to things, but they are currently in 6361. Those exits were the one for last phase as one of the groups of 9 stayed so the others could catch up. |
|
|
"You know the way and you know who to listen to. Now go do it." |
|
Is this scent an actual thing?
I told you already that we were following the trail of my son, Bear. I also sensed Frosti earlier. I'm sensing they're traversing this maze much like us (minotaur style). Or something else of greater importance?
As for the rooms my silly Wilt. If the rooms all shuffled around, then surely new exits have formed, and old ones have sealed up, right? |

Think of why logically a confirmed townie would hide something, you'll find the flaw in suggesting it be stolen from me. |
All but confirmed then? If so that's fucking idiotic. We don't even know if there IS an item-stealer, and now any evil person would know that she might be hiding an item. She should've just played it cool.

Could it be talking about this?
|
The force of the wave carried the boat forward once more.
"What the hell was that?" Blurted out Kane. The boat was moving of its own accord once more. It veered Southwards and came across a high bridge. The water began to narrow here, forming more of a canal. The canal passed beneath the bridge and so too did the boat it was carrying.
Finally it moved Eastwards and came crashing onto land with a thud. The group groaned and picked themselves up. They were in a small recess at the end of the canal. The land here was the size of a regular room. To the South was a locked door but there was another Eastern exit. |
Otherwise, maybe where it says "damp??" on the lower-left corner of Eleanor's map? |
|
|
Brie stood by the Eastern door, nervously. There had been a lot of talk of love and romance but she had to prove to herself she could face this. She had a point to prove. She was independent and it was time everybody knew it. She bit her lip nervously and approached the door. With a push it would be over. She didn't look back, she closed her eyes and she pushed her way into the unknown.
The room beyond was large and airy. It was about twice the length of a standard room in the Labyrinth. The exit she'd walked through was on the Northern side. Two staircases climbed very high in the centre and circled one another across high above. Neither actually led to anything over head, though they both went high up. Brie looked at them in horror. Then she jumped back with a scream as the hooded figure watched her in between.
The shriek made the rest of the group come charging in. They paused at the sight of the man. He pulled down the hood. He had a long black beard and long black hair. He grinned at them slyly.
"You again!" Said Wilt, infuriated. "Who are you?"
The man opened his arms.
"My apologies for the lack of formal introduction. My name is Willis. This is my Labyrinth. Now that you are inside it, you are my prisoners, and the result of that will become very unpleasant for all of you. I'm afraid that you will more than certainly die. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have to be fun."
The group snarled. Suddenly with a dash, Marek charged at the man. He disappeared in a flash and re-appeared on one of the steps.
"That is...most unwise. Sad to say but I control your fates now. In any case I thought we could play a little game."
Marek stood upright and rubbed his shoulder. He'd fallen to the floor with a clattering after Willis vanished.
"We play no games with you. You destroyed the world."
Willis glared.
"I have done no such thing. All I want is what is mine. Minos is fool enough to prevent that but he will learn. I will take care of you so called heroes to send an important message. But be silent now. The game is afoot."
Willis vanished and re-appeared at the top of the staircase.
"Two of you can play this. And one of you will win. There's a prize to be had if you succeed. It'll no doubt prove...invaluable. But the question is, who dares to take the challenge? It's relatively simple. You will race to the stop of the stairs, one on either side. But one of you will falter and fall. The other will succeed and will be rewarded. It's an awfully long fall...so I don't rate your chances of survival too high."
He took in their faces with a grin.
"I expect you to take the cowardly route. But remember this, death is certain. Why not hold on to the hope of victory. After all, it might be all that remains."
With a flash of light, he was gone.
It is now Phase 16. Phase 16 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

I am just mapping what we have explored now. It was getting too complicated to do the other group because we aren't certain where their rooms were in relation to us.
If there are any mistakes on this one, please point them out and I can make changes. |

Guys, sorry to take away from the conversation at hand.
But I'm really confused as to where on earth we could be in relation to the map.
The voice says that Pai Chan said that they took a boat and exited East, which makes sense, but literally I don't know where we would be on the map that we have.
It might be important to figure this out. |

Wew. Caught up.
Now I agree with Boone and Eleanor on the map front, there is something seriously wrong with the rooms. There definitely had to have been a switch.
Apparently Balagor/Pai/Queenie went East after taking the boat, and after going East, they met the other group.
By map standards. That makes no sense, at all.
So I think a room switch occurred. |

If I am to perish:
The phase we ALL met up was the first and only time I sensed Frosti.
The previous 3 phases to this phase I sensed Bear, but not since the rooms rotated.
I don't quite know where or how that all fits into play yet, but that's all I've got for you for now. |
|
We were following Bear, Rita.
That is why I was the first to say we should unlock that southern gate way back when.
We were following Bear up until the gears shifted and the room rotated. I've lost track since. I sense my sons through visions in my head.
*rubs temples*
Seeing Bear at the southern gates for example, locking the door behind him. When I saw Frosti it was a blur of his red cape and crown. Not much information given from either son yet, mostly quick blurs.
I believe my role has an extreme importance, and vice versa too. My belief is that one of my sons holds something of high value, but the other is just looking to maul us.

Angela stood at the foot of the stairway. This was a terrifying ordeal and she wanted it to be over. She glanced over at Fong who grinned back. At the top of the stairs, Willis appeared once more.
"Try to reach me." He said with a smile.
And with that they were off. Angela and Fong both set about climbing the stairs as Angela quickly lunged over at Fong. He dodged back carefully. He was resting. And then he grinned.
"You shouldn't have done that child!" He said. "That....was not Bito!"
And with that, Fong grabbed his sceptre. Angela snarled and began to climb but Fong lashed out and caused her to fall back down. She began to climb again and Fong lashed out. Every step she took he stood steadfastly still, lashing out with his sceptre over and over and over.
"Start climbing!" She yelled as Fong repeatedly smashed his sceptre across, grinning madly. Angela had yet to climb a single step.
She gritted her teeth and once more tried to climb. This time, she ducked under his sceptre attack. She panted, exhaustedly as she remarked on her progress. She had climbed but a single step. Her eyes turned red with anger. What was this fool doing?! This was so unfair. She lunged forth, not caring about anything else in the world.
She had to do this. She had to...make it. She climbed and climbed with all her might. Each step of the way came a flurry of Bito sceptre swipes followed by the Emperor's maniacal laughter and sly grinning. He wasn't climbing at all. Each time he did climb, she was sure to kick him in the sceptre, sending him tumbling back down.
Finally she collapsed. Exhaustedly. It had been hard. It had been arduous. It had been one of the most momentous climbs she'd ever encountered. She looked over at the Emperor. He was one step below her.
"I MADE IT!" She shouted, joyfully. She turned back around to the group.
They were around a foot below her. She was on the second step. She span around and looked over at the Emperor. Stood on the first step and panting from exhaustion of his attacking flurry.
"Well wasn't that impressive." Came the voice of Willis from up above. "In fifty moves you each scaled a combined total of three steps. My congratulations."
"It's not our fault your stupid challenges are broken."
Willis smirked.
"My challenge will not be the thing which gets broken now. As promised girl, your reward will be delivered post-haste. As for you," He glanced at the Emperor, "You take a tumble."
Emperor Fong looked down from his single step and began to slowly laugh. The laughter escalated and escalated until it echoed around the hallway. Finally he stopped and wiped a tear from his eye.
"If you think but one step can hurt Emperor Fong, you are gravely mistaken."
The rest of the group nodded. This was kind of silly. Willis continued to smile nonetheless.
"I'm sorry, did I ever say that you were going to fall from the steps?"
Fong stopped laughing. He looked down as his feet began to rise from the ground.
"What are you doing?" He asked, glancing this way and that. He was rising higher and higher.
"Stop that this instant! I will have your head!"
The Emperor rose several feet in the air and he was accelerating. At the top of the stairs, Willis was smiling and holding a hand out. Energy was leaping from it and surrounding the Emperor who was now soaring above the heights of even the highest steps.
"THIS IS NOT BIIIIIIIIIIII-" He began as his body plummeted at break-neck speed towards the cold stone ground. Angela winced as the grotesque thud echoed around the chamber.
There was a silence. The falling figure had created quite a cloud of dust. His sceptre had snapped at the base. Boone looked around at the faces of everybody just staring on in horror. Angela's eyes glared wildly at the body. That was....almost her.
Reluctantly, Boone scampered forward. He reached out to touch Emperor Fong's shoulder gently...just in the hope that...
Suddenly the Emperor's hand lashed out and grabbed Boone by the neck. He shrieked as everybody once more, held their breath. The Emperor looked up at the surrounding group with a suspicious expression.
"What happened?" He asked, turning back to the ape and releasing him suddenly. Boone scampered away in terror.
The Emperor stood upright and dusted himself off carefully. He positioned his crown, lifted his sceptre and noticed the snap.
"YOU HAVE BROKEN MY SCEPTRE. NEXT TIME IT SHALL BE YOUR HEAD."
This really was not Bito. |

I have an item that makes me a thief if I want to be, which is why I don't want scum to know about it. I was trying to give Ezra a message by taking the hatchet and quietly sneaking it back. |
