Phase 25
Room 4958* (future)
Exits: North, West, East, South
- Ezra is now 2 rooms SW
- Mystery person is 4 rooms due north (in the past)
- Mark can now talk to Kristoff. Kristoff has one walkie (figurative?), the voice has the other
- Kristoff is the trap checker, NOT Hobert
- Monster two rooms south and one west (9880)
- Angela's orb has more than one detect I guess?
- Staff works every other phase, takes everyone along with it who's following the holder
- Lee is a "Warrior" and has multiple lives
|
OH, okay guys. Caduceus is just how Kristoff described it. It's a straight forward portal maker which does not trigger traps or effects. The orb can be used (I'd assume once) to reveal any nearby monsters. |
|
The howling continued to the West. Walton waited by the exit and hesitated. He rubbed his head thoughtfully and dove straight for it, hammering the release and stepping into the unknown. As he walked into the Southern room, the howling moved South too. He shivered and got to checking out the room.
It stank. The room was slightly darkened and surrounded by consoles and electronic equipment which quietly bleeped and booped in the cold blue hue. A few lights danced around on the equipment but the large monitor behind everything was completely black. Deactivated and showing nothing. But the smell was the main factor...it was....
He glanced down and saw it as the door North opened and the rest of his group milled in. They'd found Carl.
Culo crept over to the figure and looked at it worryingly, almost fearful that it might jump back up. It was doubtful given its current condition. It hardly looked like Carl at all. The face had been torn off in almost all the places. Flesh was wrenched from bone in a bloody display around the carcass. Maggots were chewing on his remains blissfully unaware of the group staring on at them. The body was torn through, remnants of his organs still trailing over the floor.
Brie turned around and tried to hold in the puke. Her vision hit another rotting corpse and she vomited all over it. Even the more hardened group members were struggling to cope with this grisly sight. Wilt turned around to check up on Brie and saw the other body.
"His name was Taylor." Brie said, remembering only slightly the meek man who had sifted through uncomfortably in the group room. It was a brief memory but...
Wilt nodded. This body was far more decayed than Carl's, but considerably less gruesome. It was entirely intact save for the rot.
"Not Bito!" Shouted the Emperor, waving his broken sceptre around. There were more remains towards the centre of the room. The room extended Southwards twice as far as most standard sized ones. The Southern exit was on the far South wall with the others being closest to the North. The skeleton was sprawled out across the middle of the room.
Rita kneeled down to look at it.
"This one's been here a lot longer." She confirmed. The bones were very, very old and quite impossible to identify.
"Fuck the bones." Said Kane grinning. "Look what I found."
He'd unearthed Carl's backpack on the floor. Out of it tumbled a black orb, glowing in strange shades of colour and an ornate staff. Twin serpents entwined it completely. It was the same staff Kristoff had waved around so long ago. The Caduceus.
Slightly less enthrallingly, Urk glanced down at the wall where a very faded chalk message could still be seen. It read:
"22 N"
It is now Phase 25. Phase 25 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

1: What are the one shot abilities he was referring to?
There was an inventory checker, and a lie detector.
2: Why was it so important he held the staff over everyone else?
Apparently he can transport more people with the staff the if someone else tried, so if we all try to travel, there's a chance people will be left behind. |
|
Also, my voice came back to me...and its the first time its been back since Fong has heard his voice. The voice said that it gave us vital information early in this journey about how we should expect the most unexpected person. The voice now claims that the whole time it was talking about Ezra and that since everyone has caught on, now it can confirm that. It said that if we happen to meet up with Ezra then we should consider lynching him on site.
Also, the voice said to remember who the first person to stick behind with me was when the voice told me to stay behind in the beginning of our journey. It was Ezra. |

Phase 26
Room 5959
Exits: East, West, Board Shuttle (South) (Green Circle)
- Angela feels herself getting lit on fire, it's Katy's, but she survived
- 6361 is also a statue room
- Did Urk receive a prize for disarming the bomb?
- Code was 682537
- Cerberus is in 7997
|
Parker strode to the Western room. They had a pretty good feel for where they were going now. Should be interesting. He pushed the door release as the howling noise moved East. It was still South of them. He shuddered. Glad he wasn't down there. He stretched his arms and cracked his neck before venturing forth.
The room beyond was dusty and full of old paper, screwed up and tossed all over the floor. It was a standard size. He glanced down at a screwed up piece and eyed it up and down before deciding it was useless. Man, Willis sure kept a lot of junk around this place.
In the middle of the room was a computer desk with a monitor and a keyboard. The screen displayed a message which was bleeping at him. He scratched his head and glanced down at it.
"Enter deactivation code: _ _ _ _ _ _"
The others followed in and looked around. This wasn't quite what they were expecting. The dusty old study ended at the Southern side of the room where a huge metal door overlooked everything. A light on the front of it glowed red. There was a track moving into it and the door had a green circle painted around it. As they looked on, the light turned green and the doors opened loudly. A shuttle trundled up the track and came to a rest.
Parker kicked up his legs and sat back in the chair by the desk, looking down at the computer. Mark moved over, excitedly.
"Finally, I can catch up on my blog." He said as he walked over.
At that moment he paused and looked at the screen.
"Deactiva-"
As he spoke the word, the lights dimmed. Suddenly there was a frantic beeping. It was coming from beneath the desk. Marek scuttled over and looked beneath, his eyes widening when he saw what was down there. The others gathered around to look. A countdown timer was ticking away from 23:59:58. It was wired to a few rounds of explosives.
"Fucking great." Said Eleanor, groaning miserably.
Walton looked around as everybody began to panic. All they needed was to put a code in? He bashed away at the keys.
"#1 1 1 1 1 1"
The screen flashed red again.
"Error: Incorrect code. 20 attempts remaining."
"Twenty!" Shrieked Brie. Coming here was a bad idea. How would they figure this out. Wilt began scrounging through the papers on the floor but it was all nothing. There was no way to decipher a code from any of this.
"Friends, here!" Said Lee.
On the other side of a desk were six books labelled volumes 1-6.
"I'm sure that the magic word is in here somewhere..." He ventured.
It is now Phase 26. Phase 26 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.
Objectives:
Open the books by posting "##Open: Volume X". You must attempt to guess the code. This can only be done publically and must be done by posting "##Enter: XXXXXX". The code is six digits long. You have twenty guesses to get it right. You will be told if you're incorrect.

@Urk Yeah I think so...
I don't know why everybody is so eager to take a shuttle out of here and leave Ezra behind. Some of you seem dead certain he is scum. To those people, I feel the need to remind you that Walton's voice would agree with you, so that right there is a reason to trust Ezra.
I know we are set on going back to the past now, but I felt I should point something out that I have noticed on my map (presuming it is all correct).
This is a merged map of this area. The past rooms are outlined in white...
I think that long passage way (Possible cage trap) to the East is interesting. Could be a route to Neptune since it extends further eastward than the rooms in the past.

The screen flashed blue for a second, highlighting the faces of those who looked on. Urk dashed over and glanced as text appeared on the screen. It was more numbers. Four this time.
"Pathfinder algorithm started.
Searching for hub....
Hub located.
257 5
Search complete.
System Terminated."
The computer flashed to black again. |

hahaha
How awkward is this? Ezra unknowingly went from one of the leaders of the group to one of the least trusted members while he was gone.
Not that I want him to turn out to be a villain but...if we get to the statue room and find out he's a villain, hatcheting him out of nowhere would be so amazing.

I agree with Walton on this. It's phase 27 and unless I missed something big, we still haven't found anything we're actually supposed to be looking for. But since we're nearby I guess it's worth checking out. |
YOU SOUND SCARED, EZRA!

I get that, but its still a lot of time being spent to get to a room that we're only guessing is what we're looking for. |
So scared.

Timeline of Parker:
- meh I don't even want to go to the statues. The monster might be in the way anyway
- oh, the statues are in the next room? Well okay then!
- by the way guys I think now is a good time to roleclaim lol
Definitely looks fishy now that I think about it. Don't want to bring it up publicly quite yet though.

Phase 27
Room 4958*
Exits: North, East, West, South (future)
Exits: North, East, West (past)
- Dennis is the room description sensor
- Monster four rooms to the west
- Ezra heard a voice revealing that we don't trust him
- Marek is basically confirmed lie detector. He's being so obvious
|
Ezra felt the clanking behind him as he hammered the door release. A shadow dashed in his wake and the door sealed to the sounds of more clanking. Something big was snarling and smashing into the Southern door. He sighed as he took in the room beyond.
It stank of death. Three sets of human remains littered the floor. The first was a skeleton that looked very ancient. Impossible to identify the source of that one. The other two were identifiable. Ezra glanced down at Taylor's remains silently. They were beginning to rot away as he stared up through maggot-eaten eyes at the ceiling. The other body was in a worse shape. Its inside were torn and sprawled across the floor in a gory pattern. The blood was dry and the flesh was eaten into, but that face was instantly recognisable.
It was Carl.
He kneeled down to get a better look when the door to the West opened. The three exits North, East and West were set on the Northern side of a room twice as long as standard. Ezra glanced nervously at the howling echoes from the South and shivered, not knowing quite what to expect.
He breathed out again when Rita stepped into the room.
"Ezra!" She said, as the howling caught her off guard.
Behind her came the rest of the group, exactly as Ezra had left them. He began to speak as a howl cut him off. It was drowning out the beeps and bloops of the machinery scattered around the room. A large scattered monitor was black and inactive too. There was no indication what any of it did.
To the South, almost barely visible was a faded chalk message on the wall. It read:
"22 N"
It is now Phase 27. Phase 27 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

The world began to dance and swirl around the group and vision began hazy. Colours in the spectrum began to move towards the violet end and purple sparks danced around in an agitated pattern. There was a huge flash of light and suddenly the world around twisted into a violet tunnel that everybody felt themselves descend into. It was shaking them, tossing and turning them every which way and playing havoc on the senses.
The colours seemed to emit a sound as they moved along tunnels and down corridors, passages tinged with violet. It was a journey unlike anything else they'd ever experienced. Merely travelling in the portal was nothing like this.
Finally, the purple gave way and they were standing exactly where they had been. There was no drop and less of the disorientation. The room was the same size but the consoles were gone and the metal walls were now stone. In the middle of the floor, the skeleton had changed into the fresh corpse of Origo, lying in the exact same way and with the same pose. He was sprawled out in front of the statues on the grid which rose up from the floor.
The red statue still stared on at the hole in the wall determinedly. And the chalk was no longer faded. It was fresh and crisp and white, displaying the message in the exact same place.
"22 N"
The only thing missing from this world was colour. Time seemed to be ticking over strangely. All of the inhabitants moved at their usual speed but the black and white world they were now standing in ticked and sprawled by with almost no speed at all. There was no howling though, nor was there even still a door South.
Lee began to move and found that he could at the regular pace. The grey air danced by slowly. Everything they touched went by normally but the small area around the room was encased in a timeless bubble.
It is now Phase 27. Phase 27 will end in roughly 23 hours from now.

I seriously feel like we're utterly screwed now. I was already feeling DISCOURAGED earlier because we're almost 30 phases in and haven't even gotten CLOSE to unlocking any of the FIVE things we need, but now our two most useful roles are gone.
