Phase 34
Room 2154
Exits: North (Past), North (Future), Pink Shuttle
- Angela feels someone die via laser or gun
|
Stonehard Lee slammed the door release on the room to the South. The clanking was still echoing through from up North. That thing was close. Lee bolted for the door as soon as it opened and urged the others to do the same. They dashed into the room beyond without hesitating as the door slammed shut. There was another clanking on the door to the North. It had moved again.
Lee breathed out slowly and decided to check out the room, ignoring the frantic howls. The floor was black metal but the walls were very pale white. Lee banged one with his fist and determined it was metallic too. The room was a standard size but...something was off about it. The room gave the illusion that there was more space than normal. The air was thick and hazy in here. Angela jumped back suddenly as a purple spark leaped from the ceiling and almost grounded itself through her.
There was a click to the East as a large heavy-set door opened wide. The light on the door turned from red to green and a shuttle trundled through on a track. The ring that was painted on the door was pink. Other than that there were no visible exits save for the North one they'd come through. The clanking and the howling continued.
Brie slumped down on the floor miserably.
"We're going to die here." She said despondently. Wilt went to her side as everybody else sat down to accept their fate.
Everybody except Boone. He scuttled to the West in the hopes of finding some kind of switch on the walls or on the floor. There had to be more to this room. Purple sparks crackled around him as he walked along the centre. As he passed the Northern exit and approached the Western wall, it appeared to move away from him. He rubbed his head and tried again. Still it moved away.
"Marek...do you see what I seeE" Said Boone carefully. Marek joined him and noticed exactly the same thing. The wall was moving away from them. They both took more steps towards it. With every step they took, the room seemed to twist and contort in strange ways. Still the wall moved further and further away.
Boone stopped and glanced back at the group. They hadn't made any progress at all. They had walked forward but not moved. The group were just as far behind them. But the air was thick with purple haze now. The walls were all twisted and contorted too, not quite at the angle they were. Boone was determined and he ran and ran, hoping endlessly to catch the wall. Around him the room span and twisted and turned in a myriad of ways.
Finally, he reached the wall. He placed his hands on it firmly, catching his breath and stepped back in disbelief. The wall was stone and so was the floor. When had that changed?
He turned back to the group who were the same distance from him as before and glanced up at the Northern exit. It wasn't clanking anymore. There were no howls. In fact, the door was made of stone too and didn't have the mechanical release mechanism. He returned back to the others, experiencing the same twisting, turning headache as on the first trip.
He slumped down finally, trying to make sense of it all.
It is now Phase 34. Phase 34 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

I think that the rooom doesn't show as having a parallel because it just plain exists in both times. Either past or future could have exited south here. |
I agree. This room isn't a parallel to anything, because technically it is its own parallel in and of itself...if that makes sense. I think it's basically just a fancy way of time traveling.
But I do agree that it would be worth heading back here if the pink shuttle doesn't yield anything productive. If nothing else, we could check out what's in the room to the northwest of here. I think that could be of some importance, considering it's wedged between a locked door and a death trap. In fact, if it wasn't for the dog blocking the way, I would seriously consider going there now. |
|
Actually...if we went through the stone door, we could head to the northwest room now. I think it's worth considering. |

Phase 35
Room 9392*
- path to monster: one room north, one room east, two rooms north, one room west
- Eleanor: 5 rooms due north (future), 8 rooms due east (past)
|
"Come along, Friends!" Said Stonehard Lee. He wasn't fond of running through a strange time tunnel, nor was he really fond of riding metal chariots but...
Three howls came down from the North...
It was probably best. He clambered inside, having to almost crawl to fit through the door. The others followed suit to join him and when they were all finally seated, Lee hovered his hand over the button before mashing it hard. Nothing happened.
"Well that was a disappointing outcome, frieeeEEEEEEEEE"
His voice trailed off into the darkness as the shuttle lurched forth at high speed. It sank into the bowels of the Earth, blasting downwards alarmingly and twisting and turning every which way. Lee felt quite ill. Boone was screeching despite himself. Brie's own condition made her fearful as she held her stomach.
Finally it jolted to a stop with a thud. The group were flung forth as the door slowly opened. Lee wobbled out of it on his hands and knees, crawling forth into the black room beyond. He rubbed his head to calm down from the rush of speed.
This room was a standard sized one. The shuttle was still docked where they'd left it, with a pink ring painted around the open door. He tried to take in the rest of the surroundings but it was mostly dimness, slightly floodlit. The majority of the light was being cast on a table in the centre of the room which had a gun chained to it. He looked at the gun questioningly. Whatever it was, he didn't like the look of it.
"You have.......been through...........much......."
The voice took everybody unawares. It was booming into the room.
"But more.....still will....come......that I can assure......"
It spoke slowly and deliberately. Every word was a deep boom but there was another facet to the voice. Something higher sounding. It was almost as if two voices spoke in unison without a single break in their pacing. The effect was very unpleasant.
"Who are you?! Come out here and face us!" Said Angela getting very aggressive.
"I think......I would.....rather just watch.......you die......"
"I could.......have you........killed now but.......where would be the........fun in.....that"
They fell silent again.
"Now let us.....play a game.......it is one.....of my......favourites....."
"Six......shall lift......and fire the....gun........but one wins......"
"And one........one will......die.......I am....certain...."
"Choose.....you may....need what.....I offer.......or you......may not....."
The voice faded away into nothingness. The group were stood staring at the gun.

Lee scowled at the gun on the table and shook his head. They wouldn't be so easily tricked into playing little games. He marched towards the Northern exit and pushed the door release firmly. It opened out onto a metal platform, quite high up from the ground.
Lee was quite used to heights from his home but this was unsettling, mostly because the floor didn't feel very sturdy. There was a metal wall to his East and North but the flight of stairs to the West descended quite a distance. He walked carefully across to them, which was no easy task for him. The others followed in behind him and paused, watching him descend the steep steps to the ground below. Each was set quite far down from the others and the whole structure shook a little every time.
Finally he reached the bottom and breathed a sigh of relief. He looked back up the stairs where everybody was still waiting. The length of the stairs and the platform above were about the size of a standard room. He turned back around and continued walking to the North. The space down here was twice the length of a normal room and it was all just metal flooring, bathed in a sinister reddish light. On the Southern side was a door West and on the Northern side was a door East.
"Seems to be cle-" He began to say before disappearing. The others rushed as fast as they could down the treacherous stairway to see. Mark ran over to the middle of the room where a hole in the floor had opened to reveal a great pit of swirling green slime. Lee was currently stood in it, submerged to his waist.
"Give me a hand, friend." Said Lee miserably as Mark reached out and tried to pull him up. The result was Mark sliding unsteadily towards Lee instead.
Finally the whole group gathered around and each pulled, with Lee hoisting himself out of the hole with another hand. He rubbed his head miserably.
"That was unpleasant." He said, slumping onto the ground.
"Are you okay, rock man?" Said Wilt as courteously as he could manage.
"I'm fine....." Said Lee mumbling. "Couldn't be better..."

I would say when you are scanning it. It would be less awkward if you do it that phase. Then after you get the result you can use the word true or false.
Your first post:
|
This post is going to get scanned |
Some post using the word valid
Your revealing post:
|
something else said by that person (or there name if they have no quotable posts |
While that is true, this could also be a good idea.
OR
Your revealing post:
|
something else said by that person (or there name if they have no quotable posts |
You have to consider that sometimes Willis has false paths that lead to dead ends.
|
Although this one is a little more complicated, i trust that we can all use our journals to track its progress.
First step ill keep the same. If i quote a post and the word valid is in the response it means i am recording it to scan.
For the reveals, there are three possible results: true, false, and duress. As such i will amend the reveal slightly.
I will either quote the person i scanned or open with their name if they have not posted yet. Following the quote or their name, i will go by the first letter ruling. If the next word starts with a T, their statement was true. If it starts with an F, their statement was false. If it starts with a D, they were under duress.
Hopefully this sounds good to you guys. As i might take in multiple quotes, it might be.a good idea to be able to differentiate if their lie was condemning or not. If anyone has any ideas as to improve upon this, please let me know. |

Lee cleaned himself off as best as possible. With the green slime everywhere, he wasn't a pretty sight but he was determined to continue. He edged himself around the hole in the metal flooring carefully and moved over to the Eastern exit on the Northern side of the room. He pressed the door release with a green looking hand and once more took the dive into the unknown.
He walked into a darkened room. The only source of light, a red glow, was coming from a large metal door on the Northern side. The metal door had a painted black ring on it. As he approached there was a rumble, followed by a click as the metal slid open and a shuttle bounded up into view. The light changed to green and the shuttle came to a rest.
Lee rubbed his head as he tried to figure out their next move. This room was standard sized with an exit on the East and West side. There was also a strange looking alcove in the Northern wall, next to where the metal door had been. He approached it curiously as the room suddenly lit up in red once more.
The floor began to rumble. Two glowing red eyes glared out from the hole and something began moving towards him. A red targetting laser blasted across the room, highlighting the floor in greater detail. Lee could make out the remains of three shades on the ground, riddled with bullet-holes. He ducked and dived but it was no use. The thing was approaching. It was a metallic creature, moving around on several wheels linked together. One of its arms contained a strange metal rod covered in holes.
Without warning, it raised the arm and the air turned orange. There was a rattling noise as Lee felt the force of metal hit his body several times. Finally, the creature ceased doing what it was doing and rolled right back into the alcove, leaving the room in darkness and Lee pouring purple blood onto the floor.
The group gathered around him and tried to help him stand but he stumbled to the floor. Looking all the worse for wear, he used the wall to stand upright and breathed out, determined to continue.
"Friends....I......let us move on....." He said, wearily.

Exits: North and South
- Brittany is the item checker
- Eleanor: CoK is 3 rooms NW
- Orb: 1 south, 2 west, 1 south

Angela walked up to the Northern exit, nervous. She wasn't used to this. She turned back to look at the group, not really wanting to make a move but as she did colour slowly flooded back over the room. The face on the wall grew brighter and that was something she was even less keen on. She pushed hard on the door and stumbled through into the unknown.
The room was very dark and her every footstep echoed as she moved across the stony floor. It was a standard size with exits to the North and South, but only about one third of the room contained floor. Set a little below where she stood was a mass of jet black water. There was no real telling why it was black. Curiously, Angela reached down to touch it. A ripple of dark water fell away in her hand.
"I wouldn't touch anything around here." Said Lee miserably as he leaned over.
Angela shrugged. It was so dark and mysterious and captivating. She wished she had a camera now. This was exactly the kind of thing she came here to see really.
The stony walls of the room were lit by bright ambient lighting that beamed down from above. Probably caged torches, burning endlessly. There was no sign of anything below, nor how deep it fell. Angela's eyes moved across the ceiling. It was held up by stone arches that raised out of the water. The ceiling sloped however, moving ever downwards towards the back of the water until it finally submerged.
They sat by the poolside. It was deathly silent in here.

Plan for CoK: (lie detection wise)
Ill quote things i save with the keyword valid in my response.
Ill tell a story from my time in the woods to any person i catch lying. If it was a condemning lie a person or animal will die in the story.
Don't immediately hatchet a liar, just keep notes. I need to stretch out my lee detection. If you can manage to get a lynch train started, awesome but it's probably best to keep things quiet until we split and you can take care of the liars when you all have majority. I want to wait to claim until I've scanned them all if i can
Sound good?

Phase 39
Room 1218*
- Angela got injured by pool (because she wasn't already injured? every other gets hurt?)
|
Angela was feeling bolder. She'd traveled first and so far had only found water. Inky black water but still. That was better than finding some of the other things lurking around here. Maybe she was lucky? She walked over to the door and pushed, still drenched from her swim. The door slid open and she came out to more water.
She was stood in a long hallway of sorts. There was a low roof overhead that was grey stone along with the walls to the East, South and West. On the Western side was another door but the stone floor extended North, twice the length of a standard room. The wall ran along the Western wall and along the Northern side, but on the East the wall only ran halfway towards the North. The far North side had an opening to the East. A much brighter light was coming through from there.
Her ears were filled with the sound of rushing water but her main focus was the pool which was tinged with a greenish hue this time. Not quite as impressive as the other pool. It seemed hot though, steam was rising from the surface. Angela scurried over to it in order to get a better look but stumbled and grazed the back of her hand on the floor. She swore, cradling it as it bled out a little and told herself to be more careful. The others had walked through, hearing her shout and assuming she was in trouble.
"Are you okay?" Said Walton curiously. Angela nodded. She wanted to go to the pool. Maybe she could swim twice in one day. It seemed very hot though.
As she crawled over to it, she raised her hands over it to feel the warmth. The heat seemed to soothe her aching knuckles. The pain wasn't anywhere near as bad now. She reached down gently and placed her hand in the water. It was amazingly soothing. Not too hot, just the right temperature. She pulled her hand back and stood up to rejoin the others but something made her pause halfway.
The wound was completely healed. She glanced down at the water, eyes wide. She'd put her grazed hand in and the water had taken away the injury.
"It healed me!" She shouted, ecstatic as the others looked on in shock.
Boone was more interested in the opening and was currently scuttling up to the gap on the Eastern side. He stepped out and called for the others to join. Angela was frustrated, waving her hand as nobody paid much attention to the recent miracle. She reluctantly went out to see what the chimp was so happy about.
Then she saw it. On the Northern side of the room, the floor extended outwards to the East, about the width of a standard room across. She walked out of the small hallway and looked up. The ceiling gave way completely. And the stone platform out here gave way into a bridge. A canal full of flowing water was running from the North, moving down underneath it to the South. On the Eastern side of the bridge was a high stone wall with another exit set into it. On the West was the small alcove set below another high stone wall.
This place had the same outdoorsy feel of the waterways from before. The roof was very very high up and the air felt fresh and open. But overhead, dark clouds were rumbling. As they looked up, rain began to pour down onto them and thunder rumbled. It was stormy indoors? The waters below sloshed and rippled turbulently. There was a strong wind in the air too. The current seemed every more frantic by the disturbance. As they looked on, a bolt of lightning lashed down in the far distance.
"Screw this." Said Angela miserably and went back under the shelter to the warm, friendly pool that was still steaming.

This group just went to shit. We fucking suck.
We possibly would've already been on our way to the treasure if Walton revived Eleanor right when she died. But now we have to wander around in the dark until either we bump into CoK or Walton graces us with his presence and we backtrack to revive Eleanor after letting CoK move like 10 rooms away from us.
I've basically lost all hope of achieving even ONE of our goals, much less all five (or six?). If we can't even do this one fucking thing right when we had 3 days to do it, there is no hope.

Phase 41
Room 5401*
- someone's throat was slit (mid-phase)
- Angela felt something phase 39?
|
Urk clicked his feet and began to move.
"It's been over twenty-four hours!" He said with a cocky voice. "Yoooooooou're toooooo slooooooooow!"
His feet were spinning as he dashed towards the Western exit, bashing into it repeatedly until it opened. He finally emerged in the room beyond, not wanting to stop. He was going for an all time record. He continued dashing to the West without looking as a voice at the door shouted out to him.
"Stop!" It said frantically. Urk screeched to a halt, causing a small jet of flame to erupt under his feet that quickly fizzled out when the rain slammed down on him, forming steam. He swerved back to look. Nobody told him to stop when he was going for a speed run. Nobody but....oooh.
Stonehard Lee was stood in the doorway, rubbing his head and smiling wearily.
"You were about to crash into the lake, friend." He said, pointing a large rocky hand Westwards.
At Urk's back, the lake extended far into the distance. But the waters were not still in the slightest. Waves crashed up high as the rain water from above slammed down heavily. The wind was bitingly strong. The whole room had a dark gloom as black clouds overhead rumbled with thunder and lighting that coursed all around them. Angela was stood in the doorway nursing her injuries and enjoying the bleak storm...somewhat.
Rita came in shaking her head, followed by Mark and Marek. Boone, Frederick and Walton came next leaving just Wilt and Brie who were falling behind.
"I suppose we all made it then!" Said Wilt, trying to encourage the flailing group.
Urk was getting restless. He wanted to run, run run. They were stood on a small chunk of muddy land, twice the width of a standard room, that moved into a higher stone wall to the East, the room they'd just come from. To the South was another door leading into a high stone wall. This expanse of land was the only part "outdoors" it seemed. Urk knew where he needed to go and began to move his feet into another blur, grinning. Speed was his game!
At that moment there was a darkness in the room. Urk didn't stop charging. He wasn't afraid. He charged and charged and charged as the darkness grew and grew and grew. He was going to dive head-first into it. The world seemed to tick by in slow motion as the others looked on, mortified.
The black cape was visible now, drifting through the doorway in a flurry of purple sparks. The monstrous skeletal figure was moving forwards, two skull-emblazoned daggers raised. It let out a tremendous shriek, engulfing the room in sudden purple light from the back of its mouth. Then it stared on at Urk, ducking its head and preparing for the dive. Urk kept his legs spinning.
"Frieeeeeeeeendddsssssssssssss of Willllllisssssssssssss." It screeched out, laboriously.
Then it dived at the same moment as Urk took flight. The two figures approached one another at break-kneck speed. Everything happened in a blur. Brie shielded her eyes. Angela moved closer to get a better view. Steam flew up from Urk's feet as the beast engulfed the room in more purple sparks.
Then they collided.
There was a tremendous purple flash followed by a heart-wrenching shriek. And then a lot of smoke. Finally the smoke settled and there was one figure standing. Urk turned to the group and gave a cocky thumbs up. In the distance a sound was heard drifting into silence.
"OOOOOOOOurrrr missssiiooooooo......"
The group fell silent for a few moments. Lee rubbed his head, not knowing quite what to say. He turned to look at the lake and smiled. Anything to distract attention from whatever the hell that was.
"Look friends! A fishing pole!"
The group moved over to the North of the room where a weathered wooden dock was extending into the water. A small wooden pole with a rope at the end was teetering unsteadily in the unstable waters. Occasionally a wave crashed up and hit the side of the rotted dock, but it was mostly holding its own.
It is now Phase 41. Phase 41 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

I found a room, it exists in the future. It's intensely bright and the room has no exits. 3 walls are metal, 1 (west) is stone. At the base is metal grating with something below it, pale white floor, stone moat in a circle in the middle. Middle of the moat is a statue made of solid ice. It's a man in robes and a cape, but he's bent in half with a look of fear. He has a long icy beard. Below the statue is a screen. |

Arimnestos walked through the door to the North. Or at least one of them. The room he stepped out into had two exits set into the Northern wall. Overall it was twice the width of a standard room, with one of the Northern exits on the Eastern side and the other on the Western. On the Eastern side there was also an exit leading out to the South.
The chamber had very dark walls, such that it gave the impression of being larger than it was. There was a mystical air to it. He walked across the floor awkwardly, not quite knowing what might lay beyond. He was brave but wary. He'd been in far too many combat situations to know that strange things lurked in the darkness. His eyes darted around, looking for any sign of trouble he might see.
The floor had a very faint design. It was dark blue in colour and showed up brilliantly despite the darkness of the walls. Clearly the dark was an illusion. As he walked into the centre of the room, the other group members milled in behind him. Balagor's eyes were transfixed to the patterns on the floor. He was mouthing something when suddenly it hit him.
"Watch out! You're standing in the-" He started but it was too late.
Arimnestos looked down as a runic symbol on the floor lit up bright. It was intricately designed, moving around in a variety of patterns and spirals. He looked back over to the group fearfully and took a step forward but there was a tremendously bright flash as a circle of light rose from the circle he was stood in.
The light parted and there was still a figure inside the circle. But this one was female. Rita Kanakiri stumbled forwards, falling over and catching herself on her hands. She slowly rose from the ground and dusted herself off as she turned to look at the shocked group.
"You!" She said, her mouth open wide.
It is now Phase 42. Phase 42 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Yeah since you were open about the Queen monster I'll tell you.
Ajax found a coin and a voice started talking to him.
He said it was a banshee.
It was following us, or so it implied.
We traveled to the future and we hoped that would rid us of it but it contacted him again.
He couldn't speak to it though, it was a one way thing it seemed.
When we found a weird number button room Ajax entered the numbers of a nearby room and when we spotted him he was already dead and the banshee took him over.
We haven't heard from the spirit or Ajax (if he is somehow possessed) again. |

I'm actually kinda upset that Mark told them my role. I didn't know he had did that until they mentioned it.
Scum not knowing that I have the ability to talk to the dead could've been HUGE down the road. Like, there could've been a repeat of the Culo/Kane bones scenario.
