Phase 17
Room 7342*
- Someone relocked the door right after Angela unlocked it. Evil role-stealer in the group?
- Brie is Trey
- Urk got his chalk stolen it was Angela
- Angela's item-stealing item has 50% chance of success
|
"Take care now!" Said Parker grinning at Origo as he was shoved mercilessly into the jaws of the unknown.
"What is happening?!" He called out to the group at large. They merely winked at him as he was pushed into the stone door.
"Just a little more and we can get back to doing what we're good at." Said Parker cheerfully. Emperor Fong was studying his broken sceptre and scratching his head.
Origo stepped into a dank room with a pale white floor. It felt stringy to the touch. Sticky also. That was...unpleasant. He walked across the room, finding himself entangled on the strange substance as he moved further in. This room was a standard size but it was made to look even smaller because of the substance over all the walls.
"Spiders." He said to nobody in particular.
At the mention of the word, there was a scratching noise. Origo looked up as a stone tube overhead slid open. His face didn't betray signs of fear because his face showed nothing. But the way he ran around yelling certainly did. The group pushed the door open and watched as a number of small spiders scuttled up Origo's body as he shook them off wildly. More seemed to emerge whenever he seemed to be winning.
The group stood and watched from safety.
"Hang in there Origo!" Said Rita, cheerfully.
Origo was rolling on the floor now, writhing around as some of the spiders bit into his mask. That was all they needed. A flood of them crawled under. There were signs of movement beneath the fabric as everybody looked on in disgust.
Finally the room filled with a strange purple gas and the spiders all fled. A black sea of them poured out, scuttling back along the walls and into the pipes above. The stone sealed once more and Origo lay on the floor, his masked face looking up eternally.
The group stared as he flipped his head towards them.
"That....that was not so...." He began as he tried to stand up. At that moment he fell back down again and resumed his laying position.
"That was horrible." He correctly surmised.
It is now Phase 17. Phase 17 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

The voice told me that it is someone among us that re-locked the door. It would not say who. It said that person has different intentions as other...which should be obvious considering that person's actions.
It also said that backtracking is better than taking a portal because we will come across the same situation if we portal. Basically, the voice said that there is a locked door on the other side as well. |
|
Also, the voice just came back to me and said that the Cerberus would be very close to us if we were to portal. So I'm thinking we probably shouldn't, if were listening to the voice, that is. |
|
My official role is called the mimic. Basically, if I'm in the same room as a deceased player, I may take their role and lose my mimic role permanently. I don't think I completely strip the other person of their role, but I do know that I will have that role for the remainder of the game. I assume the win condition as well. |
|
|
Ok here we go: we totally switched at the cog room with the other group.
My voice got knocked out last phase, as did everyone in the other group so communication was down.
They're currently in 5381, the candle room, which now is very very far from us. But it seems like it's no longer a dark room, that was a one time deal.
As Boone pointed out, it was absolutely impossible that we were still at the top half of the map as per the room descriptions made it impossible.
However, if we switched rooms with the other group, then it would make complete sense.
I think Ezra pointed it out, but I totally ignored it (Sorry Ezra) They had what our exits had become before hand. So now we're on the bottom, eastern part of the map.
I'd really love to go to 4958* to confirm it, however that part of the map is slightly explored, and covered in traps. (The other group has a trap checker) and the puzzle in 4958* was already solved by Carl.
So this is what the map looks like now. Well, I assume.

Phase 18
Back in Room 1130*
Exits: North, South, West
- Culo apologizes for his absence and asks if the key didn't work. Trying to clear his name from being the relocker perhaps?
|
Parker walked towards the Southern exit and pushed it open wide. The rest of the group followed suit dejectedly. Backtracking was not fun.
They reached the base of the two staircases encircling one another and waited patiently. Rita sat herself down on one of the steps as Angela glared on. She wasn't feeling going anywhere near those things.
Fong walked over the wall where the chalk marking was and rubbed his chin thoughtfully. It said:
"16 N"

Guys, our friend the voice just visited me again. It said that if we go back to the Cog Room, then the same thing that happened to us the first time will happen again and it will have much different results.
It said if we want to know what it means, then go find out for ourselves. If we want to avoid it, which the voice recommended, then we should head South. |

Phase 19
Room 1083
Exits: North and South
- Angela felt someone drown (Scott)
- Kristoff is confirmed town according to the voice, Mark knows his role
- Mark says that a trap-sensor is also in their group
- Scott is dead according to Mark's voice; killed by sea monster
- Eleanor senses Group K at 12 rooms northwest
- Mark says package in 5230* in the future?
|
Also, my voice is here once again. It reached out to me earlier today but I responded to it to see if it would answer me and it did.
So the voice is mad that Eleanor has been revived. It said that whoever is the healer is an idiot because we now have only one revived left and we "wasted" one on a "useless" player, as the voice said. It is also mad because Eleanor has been its biggest hater throughout the course of our journey and thought that Eleanor would be dead for good. Now it is set out to kill Eleanor and said it will make sure it happens.
So I responded by asking if the voice could leave Eleanor alone because she has been through way more than the rest of us and is a huge asset to the group. The voice only replied by saying it is either me or Eleanor that will be sentenced.
Frankly, I'm tired of getting bullied by this voice. I wish it would leave me alone, but I'm not sure how to make it stop. |
|
Eleanor moved towards the Southern door with a hesitant shrug. She wanted to go West but whatever. These fucking people were right, it wasn't her fucking call. She glanced up at the door cautiously. Oh well. Best just to get it over with. With a shove, the door opened and the group stood behind her expectantly.
The room beyond was dark and small. It felt very cramped when you compared it to the stairway room. She walked slowly across the floor, looking carefully for any more of those awful fucking cages. There didn't seem to be any. In fact...the room seemed to be empty. She breathed a sigh of relief. Strange to have an empty room though. There were some ropes climbing up the walls. She crept over to them and tugged on them carefully. They just seemed to be sat there.
Her eyes traced up the length of them. They extended high above into darkness. Carefully, she attempted to jump and clamber up them. This took her back to the protest days. Breaking into fascist compounds. Ha! They couldn't fucking keep her out. She swung on the side of the rope but dropped down again as she felt it snag. Probably not very secure. Best just to trust what was solid. She walked across the floor and sighed.
"Alright, it's safe." She said.
The door opened and more stood in. The light from the other room shone in and illuminated her features a little more clearly. At that moment, something high above glinted. Eleanor glanced up. It was shining because of the light. The others were looking up too.
"Don't bother climbing the fucking ropes, they're not safe." She said walking forward.
"Whatever it is we probably need to get u-"
*Click*
Eleanor's heart just about stopped in that instance. Something was under her foot. A loose floor tile had sunk as she moved. She raised her foot slowly and watched it click back to its normal position. It did so with another audible *click*.
The light caught something moving very fast as the sound of taut rope snapping and flying free filled the air. Brie's eyes took in the scene frantically as her brain caught up.
"ELEANOR JUMP!" She shouted. Eleanor looked up and readied herself to leap across, as the thick sword slammed down into the ground with a thud and a squelch. The collective eyes of everybody winced as Eleanor stood their, motionless, staring on at them. The sword was in front of her body and covered in blood.
There was a sickening fleshy noise as her head dropped clean off her body. The torso toppled forward and the head tumbled a small distance across the ground. Blood pooled around the gruesome sight.
The room fell silent as collective brains caught up with the action.

Phase 2 (1328): No players in other rooms. I used my action this phase correctly guessing that there was another group out there, but unfortunately, it was a little too early to detect them.
Phase 3 (9880*): No action
Phase 4 (9880*): No other player in the same time.
In another time there is a player in the same room. (Cult of Kristoff)

Phase 8 (5230*): Unfortunately, I decided checking this phase was pointless since Tyron and Parker were one room north of us. I forgot I would get the future results too.

In another time there is a player 4 rooms away, due East. (CoK)

Phase 20
Room 1130* (AGAIN)
Exits: North, South, West
- Angela feels herself pushed onto a hard surface and get crushed, but she survives
- Group K has moved south from the boat room :|

The blast was a water trap south of the boat room north west of the labyrinth.
Rhea was slammed against a wall full force with a jet stream, but it seems like she's having the same type of effect Parker/Eleanor got.
PS I'd really like to check out 1144 before we shuttle out. |
|
Retreating back to the North, the group settled down for another phase of waiting at the stairs. Boone excitedly ran over to Fong's embedded sceptre, swinging around it gleefully. The Emperor gave him a stern look.
Other than the chalk marking, everything was exactly as they'd left it. The marking read:

Phase 21
Room 3545
Exits: East and West
- Mark says their room checker gets full-on description of rooms (which is where the map comes from)
|
Origo stormed through the Western door with what may have been a sulk. It was really hard to tell beneath the mask. He brushed right past the cogs on the wall and sat himself firmly down. He would not be pushed!
The others slowly approached after him. Nothing much had changed here either. Brie was the first to take note of the chalk marking which read "15 E?" though.
The group sat and stared at the cogs for a while, willing them to not move. Fortunately they didn't.

Map under the cut as always:
Uh, so I really don't know how to explain the room they're in right now because it actually makes absolutely no sense to me.
So it's basically two rooms in one. The room you enter into has an exit North and South, and then there's a GREEN portal on the WEST wall (yes i know it's purple on the map sue me)
When you enter the portal, which you can do willingly during the phase as this is all literally one room, it takes you to a room with another door that says it's exit is to the East.
This literally makes no sense to me whatsoever, I've read the flavour and it just, seems impossible to map. So one room, but two rooms, you get to the second room through a portal on the west wall, in this second room there's a door that says the exits on the east.
-big fucking shrug-
And we're going to 4958* in case anyone didn't know that. |
|
|
Also, my voice said that Mark's theory is wrong and we are wasting time right now.
That's literally all it said. Fuck my voice. How did I get stuck with this thing? Lol |
|
|
Most interesting.
*rubs temples*
It seems I too have received a voice. Mine is telling me to go to the future, alone, and not to mention to anyone that I heard this voice.
Woops. |

I was gonna suggest that we split up and one group checks out the "cracked floor room" that Mark was so interested in and the other checks out the spear room, and then we rendezvous back in the statue room. Buuut... Mark teleporting has complicated shit. Judging by Dern's map, the other group never actually visited the cracked floor room, so I'm pretty curious what could be in there. | |

Phase 22
Room 4958*
Exits: North, East, West
- Angela feels someone split in half by metal
- Mark teleported 3 rooms due North
- Walton's voice says it teleported Mark and will continue to do so if we don't listen (probably bullshit)
- After Origo died, Angela felt someone get their skin ruptured but survive (Brittany surviving attack)
- Mark says he killed Brittany, Queen G killed Origo
|
|
Mark ventured to the West. It was time to prove that he wasn't a follower. He needed actions to back up his words. Pressing on the Western door and not conforming to the standards the group imposed upon the first to exit made him feel empowered. Hopefully there was nothing on the other side due to blow him up though. That would be annoying.
He stepped through okay though. He looked around and saw a grid covered in stone soldiers. They were all different colours. The red one at the front was doing his own thing. That warmed his heart. He walked over and gave them a gentle nudge but they weren't moving.
A stone tablet in front of the statues displayed the following message:
"It is dangerous to travel alone. Strange things lie in the darkness. They will find you unless you find them first. If you wish to prepare yourself, first you must help me. Let me be free and your path will be guided.
- Red Guard"
Mark followed the eyes of the red statue carefully and noticed it was looking at a wall. The place it was staring at was cracked and crumbled so that a small hole was visible. He walked over and glanced inside, but the chamber was completely empty. Typical.
The door behind him creaked open as the others stepped through. Mark tapped his foot and walked around the room, checking out every other surface and possible point of interest. The room was twice as long as a standard room but that wasn't too interesting. The door they'd come through was on the Southern side, and there was one opposite on the Western wall.
Mark turned to the group and shrugged.
"Guess there's nothing he-"
With a flash of red, Mark disappeared from view completely. The rest of the room were speechless. Boone finally shrieked and pointed to the space where Mark had been standing. And the room fell silent. Where was he?

It was described that just as Origo died I felt something else, similar to Origo's pain. My skin 'ruptured'. They are still alive. |
|
|
|
There was a yelp of pain from across the room. The group turned to look as Origo fell to the ground, clutching at his chest. The glint of his goggles burned pale. His entire abdomen was bleeding out. With shaking hands he cupped the blood gently and fell to the floor.
The group gathered around to watch in shock as his body began to convulse violently. The blood drained on the floor beneath him and Origo reached up with a shaking hand that quickly collapsed to his side. There was a sickening gurgle and Origo fell silently.
Ezra reached down to touch his neck carefully and shook his head.
"He's dead." He confirmed.
At that moment, a flash of red filled the room and Mark stumbled onto the floor. The group gasped as he fell forward, catching himself on the ground.

Ok here we go, current maps. I'm now providing three maps.
Number one is the past map:
Number two is the present map, with the rooms that are known mostly solely through *'s
The third map is the inversion map, as the room 4554* messes a lot of shit up with it's inversion portal, I've started a third map until I can figure out where to place it. The left is the past lab, the right is the present lab.
|
|
|
Brittany is fine.
The two injuries are due to the room they're currently in there was a bunch of traps, but they also got a bunch of items.
Apparently I've caused quite a few arguments. |
|
Stonehard Lee marched boldly towards the Northern exit. He passed the grid of statues and set his eyes on the destination ahead. In his own clan he was considered a runt and a coward but...not here and no more. He would lead this time. He placed his hand delicately on the stone. Shoving it was not something he particularly desired. It would be like a human dancing on a grave. He pressed it tenderly and walked into the unknown.
"Follow after me, friends." He said on disappearing into the beyond.
The room past was covered in black stone walls. He took it all in with care. His every step reverberated as he moved around the room and he stood much higher than any human. The room was a small, standard sized one. Nothing fancy. The only other exit lay dead ahead. Only one thing for it then.
"Friends, follow along my-" He paused as his enormous stone foot thudded a pressure switch into the ground. It moved so far that there was no hope of it rising again.
Looking around slowly, he knew it was too late. He could not leap aside, he was not nimble.
Spears began to emerge from the walls. They moved in fast motion like a blur. The group had opened the door and were standing and looking in horror.
"ttttreeEEE!" Boone shrieked.
Lee's body was rock, but in here it was weaker. The magic of Willis saw to that. One of the spears pressed into a crack in his stony surface and sank as if it were sinking into mud. He let out a roar that shook the room as he tried to pull the spear aside but it slowly withdrew from the giant and moved back into the wall.
More spears glanced off his surface, some too making small indents and cracks along the firm rocky outer layer. Finally they subsided, and Lee toppled forward with a tremendous thud that nearly toppled the standing group over. Parker and Walton rushed over to try and help him but he was far too heavy to lift.
"Friends....I....I will live...just a scratch...." He assured them. As he stood, there was a gasp. Purple fluid was leaking onto the ground from his surface. It pooled there in small spots. He shook himself and stood upright.
"See....friends....good as new...." He said, doubting every word of it.
It is now Phase 23. Phase 23 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

Ok hello!
So first thing is first, before any suspicions arise, I did not know that that teleport was going to be there. It seems to have been a phase number related thing, so I had no clue. It was indeed the puzzle room as I said which confirms where we are, GREAT!
I got transported to the red room. Willis was there, and let me tell you he's a scary mother fucker. I woke up and looked across this room, which none of you ever want to go to, honestly, and there was our darling Queen Genevieve! She also decided to exit first out of their awkward portal room, so now here we are in this room. We were both told by Willis to convince the other to seriously maim or injure a person travelling from the other group, so I had to choose someone travelling with them, and the Queen had to choose someone with us.
This is actually very important, it confirms indefinitely that Carl and Lincoln are both dead somewhere in the labyrinth as they could not be options.
I had a friendly little reunion with the queen, she gave me Pai Chan's map which I'll get off my phone later, and told me about the generic feeling of the other group. She says that they follow Kristoff blindly, and that it's sort of scary. There's been a few arguments about whether or not Pai/Balagor/Queen are trustworthy or not and if they should keep them with their travels, but that's all been good now. They're safe. Also she says hi to Wilt , and not to worry as Sir Dern hath taken on the role of protection.
I told her that I'd been trying to get messages through to their group and I asked if they were getting relayed to which she said that very few were, but at least some were and that she had an idea of who my voice could be, but the thread was locked before she could tell me who she thought, but it seems to be one of the people very close to Kristoff in the cult. There seems to be a lot of drama going on with the other group.
They know nothing about the treasure, and I did the best to explain it though I don't really understand it all that much myself, and with that I gave her the current map of what I knew to be the labyrinth and all the information that I deemed important to tell her. (Eleanor she's glad you were revived and are now back to life, she deems you very important as a person.)
She tried to give me what she could information wise, but honestly, most of it was just stuff that I already knew, and had relayed to you guys, it's slightly disturbing how much we know about them in relation to how much they know about us. They all exited East out of the mirror room, so that's where they all went if we hadn't already made that clear.
She expresses the worry that Carl is out there with the staff, and that he's "loose somewhere in this madness" and she believes that because she's done some sort of investigating which she did not really go into detail about, so I just have to take her word on it, though we're sure he's dead. She wanted to tell everyone that they are fine and trying to survive the madness til we meet up again.
I took the liberty of suggesting that Origo was the one to get maimed, I'm sorry if any one was personally offended by this suggestion but as everyone else is fairly active, I felt that he was the person that was meant to be the victim.
I don't really have a sense of who on the other group is least helpful, so the Queen told me she would hit Origo as she remembered he was useless if I hit Brittany, so that's what I did, and then I came back to you guys.
AND THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED IN THE RED ROOM, NOW I HAVE ANOTHER POST TO WRITE ABOUT MOVING. |
|
And once again I have been whispered to. I was told that I must lead a separate group away from our pack. And that if our group does not split then there will be dire consequences for many of us. |

Ezra looked on as Angela and Parker rolled across the floor fighting. He had no idea what this one was about but it would probably get resolved sooner or later so he was going to focus on the task at hand. How did you actually...?
He frowned and walked over to the wall, willing for a portal to appear but nothing happened. He held out his hand and waved it around. Wow, this was stupid. He stopped again. Roth hadn't explained how to do this, they just took it on faith that they could. Ezra sighed. So much for good faith. He sat down and thought about the problem as Brie pulled the duo apart. Rita came over and sat next to him.
"I'll try with you. Let's just focus on the world we left behind ^_^ " Said Rita with a smile.
Ezra frowned. The world they left behind was desolation and emptiness. It wasn't something you wanted to think about every day. Not the vast watery, rocky maze they'd breezed through around here. That was a world of hopelessness and despair.
Still...
He focused on the orange skies, the grey drabness of the caverns...he thought of the shades and the tower and the truck and everything that had led them here. Of Gabriel...
A voice echoed through the room on the edge of hearing.
"The past...the future...none of it matters...."
Purple sparks were slowly filling the air as Rita thought of her disowned family and childhood days on the Bito isles. Her uncle was right there but...nah. She thought of her fallen brother.
The sparks began to gather as the fighting ceased and the group looked on open-mouthed. Suddenly, the purple sparks erupted into an open portal on the wall between where Ezra and Rita were sitting. They both stood up and glanced through. There was a dark image through there in the purple swirling centre. Clouds of purple dust burst from the surface. Rita nodded at Ezra who turned and gave the group a sideways smile. Then he dived through.
The world changed into a vortex of black and purple energy, flowing in all directions. It was sort of like falling, but moving horizontally. Ezra's feet moved in all directions before finally coming to a stop in the darkened room. The cold metal floor below felt uneasy. He teetered around unsure of himself, taking in all he could see in a blur. That was disorienting.
The room was the same size as the one they'd just left. To the West was an enormous metal door. A track descended into it and a green light blinked on the outside. At the edge of the track was a large shuttle. The open metal chamber had a white ring painted around it. Ezra stepped forth but fell a little unsteadily to the right. There was a big crate there...opened wide up. A parachute was draped across the side. Around him, flashes of purple flickered into view as more of the group fell through onto the ground. On the wall "23 *" was scribbled in faded Chalk.
Ezra rubbed his head and turned to walk towards Rita, fallen on the ground where she'd been dazed from the travelling. He could've sworn that the ground beneath her was stained with splotches of purple. Ezra was getting more stable now. He took a step forward.
"It's kinda di-"
A bright flash filled the room which further disoriented everybody standing around in it. When the flash was gone, so was Ezra. Rita blinked and looked down at the floor where Ezra had been. There was a circular panel, glowing in a faint green colour. She stood up sadly and checked to see who else was here. They all were...
There was a clanking noise as Stonehard Lee bashed his head on the door-frame outside of the shuttle. He rubbed it tenderly.
"Room for all of us in there." He confirmed. "Just one big button that says "Launch". I don't know what that is, but..."
He paused.
"Why does everybody look so sad?" He asked, curiously.
To the South-West, in the distance was a howling noise that shook the group to their core. It howled three times and reacted with something primal, deep inside their beings. That was unpleasant.
It is now Phase 24. Phase 24 will end in roughly 24 hours from now.

One of them has a clairvoyant type role, I'm not sure of the details, but it seems like said person can see rooms and what's in them and what happens in them, but not the number, where it is in the labyrinth, or any of the helpful stuff. But apparently there is one. It also seems like the rooms are at random, but I don't know the role really works, those are my guesses. |
|
I have my results for this phase and last phase. The player I detected 3 rooms north when Mark disappeared was NOT Mark. It is someone else. Possibly Carl or Lincoln. Whoever it is, they were 2 rooms North phase 23, and 4 rooms due north east this phase (in the past).
Ezra is 4 rooms due South West. |

p. sure after Carl's message to me that it's Henry. Which just makes his actions even more hilarious in retrospect.
