So OSU got hosed big time by the NCAA. Best recruiting class of maybe all time for them and they get handed a postseason ban. I’m bias but a lot of the national media have called it BS. The NCAA even admitted in their report that OSU didn’t gain a competitive or recurring advantage it was just a assistant that went rogue. They cooperated with the NCAA and they got boned over big time.
So that sucked. And it’s gonna suck more when Kansas, who has 5 level 1 infractions instead of the 1 we had gets nothing then a slap on the wrist.
Our two top recruits of all time are Gerald Green and Cade Cunningham and both may never play a single game in Orange. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

It wasn’t even recruiting. It was an assistant getting paid to convince a player or two to sign with a certain agent when they went pro.

It was recruiting, as the assistant coach either paid for a player to come to the school, or arranged for him to get paid (money + stuff), in addition to the taking bribes to steer people to financial advisors.
"The NCAA had plenty of direct empirical evidence from the federal trial with Evans’ guilty plea. And it’s hard to feel too bad for the Oklahoma State administration here, as there’s plenty of anecdotal information that made it apparent the school’s compliance actions weren’t from the Brad Stevens handbook. Yahoo Sports’ Dan Wetzel reported that testimony in federal court included Brian Bowen Sr. saying under oath that Christian Dawkins informed him that Oklahoma State offered $150,000 for his son to play there, plus $8,000 for a car and additional funds for a home in the area. All via Evans, of course."

Again if the schools that did worse things get worse penalties it will sit a little better with me.
You can read the document, the only thing mentioned was the bribing of existing student athletes so in terms of the punishment that was given it had no recruiting violations.
