Hey guys! I know it's been a while since I've posted here, so first of all, hello! Hope yall are doing great!

I had an idea for a fun little forum game and I think it would be fun to play with you guys. It's essentially a fanstasy draft except instead of being just for sports, the draft can be about anything. It could be TV Shows, Delicious Foods, Pet Peeves, really anything at all.

The idea is, a group of people sign up, and we do a Serpentine draft for a topic agreed upon beforehand. Each person will make a pick, post a picture of their pic, and give their justification for their choice and then it will move on to the next person. Discussions about each other's choices are encouraged. After the draft is completed, each participant will have one chance to give a summary of why they think they are deserving of winning the draft, and then a poll will be created that anyone from FE can vote on (not just the participants), and whoever receives the most votes wins the draft.

While people do have to pick from within the draft category, whatever approach they take is up to them. For instance, if we were doing delicious foods and one person decides to go all in on breakfast foods while the other person decides to go with a well rounded meal, both approaches are fine and within the spirit of the draft. Here is an example of what a pick would look like if we were doing that particular draft:

Pick #1 - Badger's First Pick Hawaiian Pizza Everyone knows that it is universally agreed upon that pineapple is delicious on pizza. Now don't get me wrong, there is a large portion of society trying to tell you that it doesn't taste delicious so that they can keep all the pineapple pizza for themselves, but don't be fooled by their deception. it's delicious. Also, if it weren't for pineapples then Spongebob would be homeless so I think I deserve the votes of anyone who is a fan of the adorable spongy little bugger. In conclusion. Pineapple on pizza is delicious and anyone who disagrees must is deceiving you or are themselves brainwashed!

Now I can acknowledge that this is very unlikely to be a very popular pick that would get me many votes at the end, but it still is basically how your picks should look.

Also, if you don't know what a Serpentine draft is, it basically just means that the person who goes last in the first round will go first in the second round. So if there are 4 participants A gets pick 1, B gets pick 2, C gets pick 3, D gets pick 4 and 5, C gets pick 6, B gets pick 7 and A gets pick 8 (and so on and so forth). It's a way of balancing out the pick order so the first person doesn't just have a massive advantage.

RULES

1. Everyone will have 24 hours for their pick. I picked 24 hours in the hopes that not every pick will take the full time period (the draft will move really slow if people do this), but I don't want this game to be something that people have to make too much of a priority. If you miss your 24 hour window, you are not out of the draft but you miss your pick for that round.

2. Each post where a pick is made must include the name of their pick, a picture of their pick, and a justification of some kind for why they picked it (no rules about the content of your justification though).

3. Drafting order will be determined by random.org.

4. No soliciting for votes at the end of the draft. Obviously I have no way of enforcing this, but if I find out about anyone going to others and asking people to vote for them, they will be dq'd. It's not in the spirit of the game as this is not meant to be a popularity contest. Also, if you are someone voting on the draft results, the only thing I ask of you is to determine your vote based off the draft itself and not your opinion of the person who drafted the team.

5. No voting for yourself at the end of the draft. You must vote for one of the other players, and if you fail to do so you will have a point subtracted from your total votes received.

Anyways, if this sounds like something you would be interested in, sign on up. I'm going to be keeping the first round small because I don't want to drag and this is kind of a test round. Theme is going to be to create a team of HEROS. I already know that Brian wants to play, so two spots are taken. Meaning first six to respond will be added to the draft and as soon as I get a forum created, we can get it started.

If there's a lot of interest and 8 slots doesn't end up being enough, we can run two drafts consecutively but change the theme to VILLAINS for the second one. This game is one that basically runs itself so I should be fine with running two at once.
