The entrance music hits and Curtis heads through the curtain, walks down the ramp, taking in the sights and the sounds of the cheering fans. He climbs into the ring, awaiting his opponent.
A masked face appears on the Titantron, and everyone's attention is quickly on the giant video screen.
"Curtis, you were supposed to have a match tonight against Vic," the figure says, "But your opponent is in no condition to make it down to the ring. Worry not though, for we've found a suitable opponent for you."
Several masked figures storm the ring and before he has time to react, Curtis is beaten down in the middle of the ring, and left in a heap.
A dozen WWE officials rush the ring to take control of the situation, but the masked menaces start knocking out referees left and right.
Suddenly, Vic's entrance music starts, and clearly having just been involved in a brawl, he hobbles down to the ring with a steel chair to fend off Curtis' attackers.

Vic checks on Curtis, but it's clear that he's broken and bruised and won't be able to compete for some time.
Curtis has been put on the injured list.
