There was a loud knocking at the door. Roth stirred from his sleep and walked downstairs wearily. Opening the door with some caution he looked out into the night. Kristoff was stood there, rain pouring onto his drenched and disheveled body.
Roth sighed.
"You shouldn't be here. I just saw the bulletin...you have killed...I can't allow you to stay around here."
He went to close the door as Kristoff put his foot in the doorway.
"Please father, I need your help!"
Roth rubbed his temples as he tried to focus. He was feeling more than a little groggy.
"When I helped you out...I wanted you to get far away from here. You need to be away from people. It's too dangerous. And I didn't think you'd kill anybody. I thought you'd escape before it took effect...I did what I thought I needed and...I've already paid the price for that."
Roth sighed.
"Please leave me be. Find somewhere to go and leave this place."
Kristoff shivered as he pulled a gun out of his pocket. Pointing it silently at Roth he turned it to his own head.
"I should just be removed from the world. I'm...a danger now. I won't be a problem to anybody anymore."
Roth gritted his teeth.
"Please don't. There's no telling what might happen if you let that beast be free. It's incredibly dangerous."
Kristoff lowered the gun slightly.
"Then help me father. Remove this thing from me. I know that you can. Please...I have to see my family one more time. I have to explain to them."
He was teary eyed as he spoke.
"I have to explain to Melissa that I didn't hurt her. That I never meant to. Before I leave this world I need to make sure she knows..."
Roth rubbed his neck and spoke cautiously.
"Even if I do this...and the church is not fond of it. I take a risk. My superiors won't be happy. And there's no guarantee it'll work, let alone no telling what might happen if it doesn't. I'm not always successful."
Kristoff sighed. "I trust you father."
The two figures walked into the church as Kristoff sat at the front. Roth was dimming the lights and lighting some candles. He wasn't sure exactly how much effect the environment had but it was worth trying everything. It was never sure how successful this would be. It had worked in the past but it was always very hit and miss. Roth wasn't that confident in his own abilities. He was learning, but this was a big challenge.
Still, he needed to try at least. He pulled a bag out of a trapdoor and removed a Bible. Returning the bag, he locked the door and pulled the end of a rug over it. Walking over to Kristoff who was laying down, he began to read Bible verses. Kristoff shut his eyes and listened intently.
"Abomination, return to the abyss from whence you came. Leave this husk. Thou art a sinner, thou hath broken the fifth commandment. Murderous demon, abandon this human form. Seek your judgement. Begone from this world where you don't belong."
Roth shut his eyes and held his hands out over Kristoff as he started chanting.
"Exorcizo te, omnis spiritus immunde! Exorcizo te, omnis spiritus immunde! Exorcizo te, omnis spiritus immunde! Exorcizo te, omnis spiritus immunde!"
And he stopped.
"May your judgement be swift."
The room fell to silence. After a pause, Kristoff opened his eyes and spoke nervously.
"Is...is that all?"
Roth nodded. "Yes, that's all it requires. It's a bit less dramatic than you see in movies I'm afraid. But that should have done it. You're cured. You should leave town before the authorities return now."
Kristoff stood up nervously.
"Thank you father...thank you."
Running for the door, he dashed out into the rainy night as Roth stood by and watched him depart with a slight sense of uneasiness.
"Let's hope I'm right..." he spoke into the night air. |

The group moved up the staircase into the night. It led out onto a churchyard. The fog was very thick now. Seeping through into everything, the inky blackness filled all of their visions. They walked down the road towards front of the churchyard and looked over into the village beyond.
There was a general uneasiness in the air as Natalie spoke up.
"Where's ff?" She queried.
A running noise was heard from behind. Spinning around, the group looked on as ff_zero ran up the staircase trying to keep up. Upon reaching the top, his foot stumbled and slid on the damp stone. Letting out a shriek of terror, his body tumbled downwards with a sickening "thud".
The group milled over and glanced down the staircase at the crumpled figure. He wouldn't be joining them any further. There was a silence in the air as henry lit a cigarette.
"Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr." He said. It was very cold.
"So we should go check out that village and warn people, you think? Tell them about the psycho priest and all that good crap."
They glanced over at the buildings nearby as Boc spoke up.
"I think we should decide which buildings to investigate. Just in case something isn't right...we can't take chances. Let's spread out. There are six buildings and the park in the middle."
"Any objections?"
There was a general murmur of agreement.
"Good. I'll tak-"
A sickening thud filled the air as Boc fell to the ground with a gurgle. Blood pooled beneath him. Milling over quickly, the group looked down at his recumbent form. There was a knife wound in his back with no sign of the weapon.
Silence filled the air as henry shook his head.
"Screw this. I'm out y'all."
Dashing into the inky blackness. Henry suddenly paused as he felt something under his skin. He turned and ran back up the path towards the staircase and glanced down. A bright flash blasted up from the tunnel. It engulfed the night as the group ducked down out of sight.
They stood up again to see henry laying on the ground, with significantly less tissue. It was just a skeleton.
Everybody sat in silence, nobody wanting to make a move before Rob stood up and looked over towards the village.
"Let's not just sit around and wait for...whatever the hell that was to strike again."

So have we basically come to the conclusion that this game is set up well for scum to kill their own in order to keep suspicion off of them?
Meaning Boc or Henry could still very well be scum. |

| Alright, folks. I have finally received clarification on my item. From the box, I got a pair of handcuffs. They prevent a player from using their role for a round, or voting. Additionally, if I use them, I get to switch that person's vote for one previous round of my choosing. I was waiting for clarification regarding whether they were able to be used more than once. They're not. |

And, yes, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the scum were offing themselves in order to keep suspicions away. That would, however, nerf their chances of voting, so it's possible they're doing it secretively.
I think ff_zero died as well, according to the flavour. So, how many people do we actually have left now? |

So we either all split up, and run the risk of completely screwing ourselves, or we stick together, and run the risk of being vulnerable and missing out on a lot of opportunities.

Natalie's a valuable townie if she is one so I would feel she would be a huge target for them. |

You can say that about me too though.
Valuable townies sometimes are so valuable that people start to fear them, look into them too much, oversee things, and suddenly the most valued townie is your new #1 scum target. |

You did see Rito's list that he posted last phase of who he would be willing to use his medkit on? That's my only guess, but I can't say I have an explanation why I was targeted the first time or why I haven't been since. I was silenced a few rounds later, think it might have been the round you and Rito were off exploring.

Yeah, I'm also not 100% certain why the scum haven't targetted me, but I'm reasonably grateful for it.
I think I understand how the colors correlate to the map, and I will be posting that, but I think we still need to discuss a course of action. |

Well, we need to decide if we're going to stick together or split up. Splitting up will maximize our potential to get things, but also increases the risk that the damned will get things. Sticking together increases our chances of making sure that townies get important stuff, but if we wind up not having more phases to search, we'll miss out.

I think we have to split up, just to see each building. I don't think we'll leave this area, and I think it's important to get everything. I know it's a chance the damned gets things...but I think we might have to risk it.
Unless, of course, everyone is allowed to simultaneously visit each room together... |

Its better to stay together but I think searching the buildings might be a flavour, not sure. |

This is the third round in a row I have asked for it and you keep replying with halfassed answered and terrible renditions of what you call a "map". A bunch of X's and O's does not equal a map.... You're moving up my scum list pretty quickly. |

Rito, you outright lied to me about which items you had. I gave you a chance to be honest, and you lied to me again. You lied to all of us about Bryce, then you lied to all of us about Waka. I couldn't give less of a crap about whether or not you trust me, because you lecturing me about honesty is like being lectured on juggling by a worm.
And, I'm not posting the map because I don't want to get modkilled. I've said that. Paul hasn't given me any indication one way or the other, and I'm not taking the risk, especially when we just lost three freakin' people in one round. If I were to post the guide without us having reached consensus, I'd be essentially handing the scum the ability to move around the town freely without us having the slightest chance of figuring out what they're up to. |

Orange Building is the Bakery. Someone needs to go with Vernon, because he can't be trusted. I recommend Helios or Natalie, since they seem to be the most trustworthy.
Green Building is the Supermarket.
Red Building is the Pietersen Residence.
The Park, shockingly, is the Park.
Black Building is the Warehouse.
Blue Building is the Bank.
Purple Building is the Cinema.

That was a scummy thing to say but you weren't really on my radar so I'll let it slide. No offense to Helios but why has he been upgraded to for sure town like Natalie?
I will be 100% honest with you guys since I'm already near the top. My role is the solider. I get one kill during the game as well as an auto target in the final showdown. I killed Boc because I believe he's scum and think he will contine to target towns like me. I do remember Natalie too spreading my name but unlike Boc im sure she is good. With that being said is there anyone you think I should use my auto target on for the showdown. I'm not sure exactly what it does I'll look at it more closely when I post this. Could be useful for someone that inactive died and we aren't sure if they ever got to the top of the lists or not.

I put in my action to go to the purple building last night. =P I like purple, nothing more to it. ;)
If Dylan wants to join me, that's fine. I think there is safety in numbers, meaning, that I think there should be pairs going together...but that also risks the chance that a scum joins a town and we still don't know where all weapons are so that may put people in jeopardy.
Also, if we say where we are going, couldn't scum just go with someone for the sole purpose of killing them?
Like so I said I'm going to the purple building. What keeps scum from putting in a hidden action to join me without me knowing, then I'm all of a sudden joined by someone and I have nothing to defend myself with and I'm killed...just seems risky.
Also, I don't think it's anything controversial, but I think someone who can be trusted should DEFINITELY go to the Pieterson residence as it's probably significant in the story and will probably have a lot of answers. I'm fine going there if y'all want...I'm interested and I like adventures so... |

Like someone should definitely join Vernon and Vespis, but it's also hard to go one on one especially when we know Vernon has a gun.
We don't want some crappy story of how Natalie or whoever died while they visited the bakery... |

I don't know when he was revived, but the general rule was you can't revive someone that isn't in your room last Lab, so I figure someone posted to revive him last phase (we were still in the same room as him then I believe) and it just got updated now. |

Well Vespis was dumb to claim it in the first place...but he didn't really understand the voting system from what I read of his past posts so it's an easy misinterpretation of how everything works.
Obviously if he's BP it makes him scum, but maybe not...a BP town would never, ever die which would make it completely invincible to Mafia. The only way we could kill him is if Mafia got us to believe that and then used our votes to kill him.
So, either we're killing obvious scum, or we're killing the ONE person who could help us win this game in the end...but I'd assume it's more likely the former. Just something to think about. |

And in terms of the voting lists, and I know we've established this, but wouldn't it just be better to put all dead people towards the top?
I know that we need to catch living scum as well, but they should reveal themselves in time as long as they're still alive, wouldn't you think? Through actions and things they do and we can adjust our lists based off that. But it would suck if the remaining (#) players end up being town aligned and then the dead scum make it through in the final showdown.
Like Henry...who knows if he's ACTUALLY dead, but what if he isn't and he's slipped off our radars...he's like middle bottom of my list so I just say this all as precaution to keep this situation from happening. And if we all adjust our lists the same, then the people on our lists will just get picked off one by 1 so whoever we think needs to die will die. |

I don't want to compliment Vernon and just say he's playing dumb...I'm not sure what it is.
But to be honest, Vernon is always better for scum if he stays alive, BUT notice that when it's crunch time, Vernon checks in. So I always think there is a method to his madness and it's a selfish one...just doesn't want to die so he pretends to be an awful townie so Mafia won't kill him.
He is actually good at Mafia so this is why I say this at all... |

You know me well. (so much it's kind of scary actually <3) Yes, I liked Dutchiee a lot, but have no ability to steal stuff and had nothing to do with his revival. I was as surprised as most of you that he showed up during this phase.

I'm wondering the same thing. It's entirely possible that the thief is town-aligned (I'm pretty sure they were in Lab 2), and that they had no reason to steal the gun. In that case, it simply makes sense to jack his medkit and revive Dutchiee. It's also possible that they simply failed to steal the gun (it's not an automatic success), and the damned chose to kill her as a last resort.
It's also possible that they only have a limited number of steals and didn't want to blow one early.
On another interesting note: nobody appears to have been silenced or roleblocked lately. Natalie said she was silenced a few rounds back, and I was roleblocked in phase 7, but nobody else appears to have been since then. Unless they've been targeting inactives or not using the role, it's a decent bet that one or both of those roles has died.

But then scum wouldn't know an item theft was an option and failed. I just think it's hard to have an item thief since there have been so little items.
If it's town aligned, then that might serve a better purpose than a scum aligned one as without certainty between a majority that someone is scum, the only way one will die would be through a killing role or a weapon and someone's hunch.
If it's scum aligned, then they could steal anything of value...but I wouldn't see why Scum would need to steal a medkit...nor can I see how a town would want to either. It's more likely it would be scum and reviving a scumbuddy...why steal a medkit and waste it on someone you're not certain is scum or town. |
