"Six were killed and a further three were injured in the horrific massacre in the early hours of this morning. The suspect has been identified as Kristoff Pietersen, a local farmer. The youngest victim of the attack was identified as six year old Melissa Pietersen, daughter of the supsect. She was killed by a single gunshot wound. Pietersen's wife Sarah, was also found to have been shot. The rest of the victims were attacked far more brutally. The suspect is still at large. Police are calling for all witnesses of the massacre to come forwards with any information they may ha-"
Roth stood holding the remote pointed at the television set. Staring in grave silence he looked down at his desk. He packed something into his bag absent-mindedly as there was a knock at the door.
"Please enter." Said Roth politely. His mind was on other things as the two men drifted into focus. That was when he realised himself.
"Your excellency." He spoke, bowing before the bishop as he entered.
"We can dispense with the formalities father. We won't be keeping you long."
The bishop sat down. Another priest sat next to him looking rather awkward and uncomfortable.
"Please take a seat father." The bishop instructed.
Roth sat down at his desk. Still rather dazed by recent events.
"Father, we are hearing reports that you visited the military base and allowed Pietersen to escape. Something that ultimately led to this dreadful atrocity we now face the aftermath of." He glared at Roth who looked down in silence.
Letting out a deep sigh Roth spoke. "They were toying with things that were out of their grasp. No scientist can handle demonic possession. And the more they probed him the worse it would get. I was also worried they would kill him which could have resulted in a chain possession or...worse..."
"So there was no emotional context. You used your judgement based entirely on a belief? One which I might add, the church does not support."
Roth looked up at the figure with a great sorrow.
"Emotions do not factor into this...I did what I needed to ensure that the demon was contained. I felt that a lot more was at stake...it was not my intention for people to get hurt."
The bishop glared.
"I would believe your testimony, albeit not support it. But I cannot reconcile why I have heard reports that Pietersen came to visit you after his escape and before the attack."
Roth's gaze fell.
"I had attempted an exorcism at the base. I didn't have everything I required because it didn't work. I thought if I performed it here...it would be effective. He contacted me and I said I'd assist..."
The bishop stared on.
"So you allowed a murderer, who had just killed servicemen to take refuge in your church? You then performed one of your rituals which we have time and time again explicitly condemned in a holy building. I think I've heard just about enough, Roth."
He stood up as the priest next to him stood awkwardly.
"We preach forgiveness. If a murderer cannot seek repentance and sanctity, what place do we have? Ours is not to judge. We merely serve as a means to guide people towards a righteous path."
The bishop continued to glare. Contempt filled his expression. His voice rose.
"You have deliberately disobeyed your superiors time and time again! You have allowed a convicted criminal to escape, sullied our reputation by involving the church and have indirectly caused the deaths of a number of people, including a young child! Forgiveness Roth, is something you now need to seek!"
The priest coughed awkwardly and spoke.
"Why didn't you do the exorcism when he came here? He could have been released, served his time and nobody would've been hurt."
Roth just stared out of the window as the bishop walked towards him.
"Hand me your collar. As of this point you are no longer a priest. You are hereby excommunicated from the church. Until such a time as you are able to change your ways and move back onto a righteous path."
Roth fumbled with his collar and slipped it into the bishop's hand.
"Father Jonas here will be taking over from your post. It's his church now. I suggest you leave this place, Roth. Your former congregation are seeking answers and they are very very upset. Do us the final service, do something righteous and actually leave town. If we don't hear from you again it will be a blessing."
The bishop marched out as father Jonas awkwardly shuffled towards the door. Roth stared out of the window at the churchyard below. He was silent. Closing his eyes, he prayed. |

Roth prayed at the entrance to the church before turning to walk up the path and join Rito and Rob who were both stood staring silently. Roth moved down the path swiftly.
"I'm not supposed to be here. We'd best keep moving back."
Rito looked perplexed.
"Back to the forest? There's a big village over there probably full of stuff to loot!"
Roth glared. "Loot?"
Rito shrugged. "Loot, take, whatever. You were doing it at the base. End of the world times according to you. Finders keepers rules apply."
Rob tutted and jerked his head away. Roth sighed as he turned to glance at the open doorway leading into a crypt.
"Was that here before?" Said Roth jerking his head back with severe confusion in his voice. Rob stared at it and scratched his head.
"Well, of course it was here before." He said flatly. "Things don't just appear." In his mind he wasn't sure. It was easy to miss things in the fog and of course the door was there. But why was it open?
Roth walked over to it.
"This is new. Maybe it's where they buried them...after I left...." He paused by the entrance.
Rito glanced across. "Maybe we should explore? We've come this far!"
Roth didn't seem sure as Rob shrugged and took the lead.
"The paranormal doesn't exist. Everything you preach is fictitious. There's a rational explanation for everything and I'll prove it by going down there." He walked through the door. He wasn't sure of himself but...it was nonsense anyway. Roth and Rito tailed him closely.
The staircase to the crypt ran very deep. And it was dark. There was an overhead light though which was very odd. The trio walked a considerable distance before stopping dead. There were footsteps coming the other way.
Rob pressed himself against the wall as the other two joined him. He whispered in the night.
"If this is another of your psychotic friends...."
Roth tried to glance around the corner as Boc and Natalie stepped out of the shadows. Natalie let out a scream as Roth jumped back in shock. The rest of the group dashed to catch up as Helios caught a glance of the three figures.
"Oh, it's just you guys."

As the groups acquainted themselves, Roth turned to look at everybody.
"Where's Curtis?" He asked with a pause.
The group jerked their heads around before realising they hadn't seen him. Boc turned back along the path he'd walked when he saw the recumbent body with blood laying on the floor.
"Oh." He said meekly.
A metal pipe had become dislodged from the ceiling and fallen on him. It was rather...unspectacular...as final moments went.
He turned back to the others.
"Guess this isn't really stable down here."
Roth nodded. "We should move out. Did you trap Kristoff?"
Helios snarled.
"Sure, not before he tried to smash me up against a wall though."
Roth rubbed his neck awkwardly.
"He'll be out of there before too long. The vault doesn't hold indefinitely. We should return. I'll be ready to deal with him properly...this time....now I have what I need."
Helios glanced sidelong at the others. The group had dwindled a lot. Dutchiee, Boc, Dylan, Vespis and Natalie were all stood around in silence. Ari decided to be the one to speak. Henry was leaning against a wall looking sour. The rest stood silent.
"We decided that hanging around there was a bad idea."
Rito jumped into action suddenly.
"There's a village over yonder!" He pointed excitedly to the path they'd walked.
"Let's go explore!"
"If it's exploration you want how about in there?" Rob said as he pointed to the open door in the tunnel wall. The group gathered around and glanced through.
It seemed to be an old abandoned study. There was a sign on the wall written in chalk and there were three sealed boxes on the floor. The group stood around. Everything else was gone.
Some of the words on the wall were blurred but what they could make out said: "To the s-----in the discovery. The ad------dare to discover-----his place?"
"Why is everything around here so weird??? LOL!" Rito declared to the group at large.
Roth stared back along the path.
"I have to go."
He began to walk as the others stopped and glared. Helios snarled.
"You led us here, you barked orders at us all and now you're abandoning us? Good riddance. You're bad fucking news."
Roth turned his head to look back at the group briefly.
"I came to that motel for a specific reason, to find my friend who is contained at the base. I need him with me. I have a mission to complete and he is a part of it. I told them it was pointless to even try without him. They accepted...and I went....but I got too caught up in trying to actually help out."
He sighed.
"I always seem to."
He stormed off along the corridor as henry growled at the retreating figure. The rest of the group turned their attention back to the boxes.
Objectives:
There are three boxes on the ground numbered 1, 2 and 3. You may each open one. Every player may open just one. The first to post to open will have exclusive access to the contents. |

Okay, so, here's what's happened to me and Rito, as far as I can piece together.
We found a cave in the woods during our first phase, which is apparently where Kristoff was hiding out and writing things in blood before the game started. There wasn't anything useful there. Waka apparently was struck by lightning (I missed the end of the phase due to being out of town this weekend) and killed. After that we went to the church. Roth's stuff had been mostly looted, and whatever he was looking for may not have been there. I did get a map of the village, but Paul hasn't responded to my request to actually read it yet. Once I do, I will share it around. There's also a wallet with $1000 in it, but I have no idea what we'd actually use that for.
Notably, there was a stained glass window in the church with what appeared to be a depiction of the same box that was in the puzzle for Guard Tower #2 (Jigsaw Planet refused to load for me, though, so I haven't seen the box for myself, but the descriptions match). If I had to guess, I'd say we're going for Pandora's Box, and whatever's in there might help stop this cataclysm. |

People trying to ditch the group are looking for items of value. I was there to monitor this. I can honestly say that Rob is in it for the town. He is to be trusted.
Bryce and Waka are different stories. I wasn't sure what to do with Bryce so I locked him out for a phase, led you all on to a fun story, and let you deal with him as you pleased. Whether you killed him or let him live, I was fine with it either way. I figured I would meet you again, Bryce, and now here we are, and I will have my eye on you. |

My cousin, Bear, he entered these Labs a long time ago. He was on a mission to rid the Lab of all its evil, and he did his best to do just that. He located the enemy, this ginger by the name of the Butcher, but his people betrayed him due to a lack of trust. He was killed and left to rot in the maze.
My other cousin, the great King Frostilicious, entered these Labs some time after Bear. His mind was corrupt due to the loss of his brother Bear. However, he was a leader at heart, a born hero. He did his best, just as his brother, to defeat the evil within the maze. But Frosti's wild antics and mangled mind got the best of him. The power flooded through his veins and he just wanted more of it. Just like Bear, Frosti was betrayed by his own people, and left to rot in the Lab.
Now here I am, Rito the most bitoful! I am not here to avenge my cousins. I would love to do just that in the process, but that is not why I am here. I have entered this game willingly. I am here to do what my cousins could not, and to defeat all necessary evils. But I am NOT going to do it the way they did it. They were so... cautious... so.... moral.
Fuck that!
I'm doing this my fucking way! I am going to DESTROY the vile fucking scum that pollute this Earth once and for fucking all! I've had enough of these mockeries they are placing upon my family name. From the way he was talking, I thought he might be a lie detector of sorts...
I saw that too, Natalie...at this point there's nothing we can do with him either unless someone has a weapon to kill him. We can't lynch and there is no option to split from him...so yeah,at this point I'm more afraid of him just making a kill on one of us from his scum instincts.
And yeah, Rob didn't even know about the Waka kill. Makes sense that Vernon did that on purpose...Waka might have been around and Rob wasn't, so killing Rob Waka would have seen it whereas this way Rob has no idea how or why Waka was killed.
It's weird how Vernon wants us to trust him, yet he never keeps a straight story and, when he has a story, it involves doing something to someone unwarranted. I think we can all agree that Vernon does these things to stir the pot and make the game more interesting for him. |

I apologize to those of you who may be angry with my actions, but I assure you it is for the greater good. I am not actively trying to kill off townies. That is not at all my goal. I am actively pursuing and eliminating the scum. I've already killed one 100% scum in Waka.
I will not tell you everything I know, as I do not wish to place a target on my own back. But I do have one vital piece of information which I am withholding from you all.
It is a word that was spoken to me, and is needed for the entry of a building down yonder. :)

Dutchiee crept curiously towards the first box. Glancing down at it he cracked his knuckles and pulled the lid cautiously. Then he glared in bafflement.

The smoke cleared as the group slowly rose from their positions on the floor. The only person who didn't rise was Dutchiee, who lay motionless in a bloody heap. |

Anyways regarding RITO. If Rito was bad why would he just plainly say "I shot Waka"? That would be a pretty shitty move for a scum player. Rob didnt see it and Rito could just claim something that wouldnt put as much blame on him.
I actually think Rito is being truthful here. His choices might be suspect but I think he is good at heart and trying to do what is best for the town, or what he thinks is best for the town. |

Thats because he had already fucked up majorly by taunting FROSTI at the start. He never wanted to become a villain that time and had already messed too much up to continue successfully
He also knew he could follow in Lab2 and not die, not here.

| Not sure what your guys' lists have been like recently, but I was roleblocked for phase 6, and couldn't update mine on phase 7. I recommend putting the recently modkilled higher up on the list, since Vernon is dead, and it's entirely possible that the inactivity could be a ploy by the damned to evade suspicion. |

I'm not entirely sure he is dead. I think he was high on the list a few times, but other names were also thrown around those phases as well.
My list has had Curtis, Dylan and Vernon at the top the past couple of rounds. |

The point of the game is moving forward. It's not Lab where you can move in many different directions. Sometimes we'll have an option to split off like the one we were given, but then we meet back up with the group.
The whole game takes 14 phases to complete meaning there is no chance that anyone has survived and is now trailing. Everyone who is not with us has either been killed or modkilled. We are the only "living" people, though some of us might be dead men walking as some might have been voted for and are dead come final showdown anyways.
So at this point, the living people just need to contribute everything we can to ensure come final showdown, all scum are gone. |

Pretty much this. I don't know why we're so stuck up on Vernon, and his alignment. I've been trying to ignore him as much as possible. I'm almost certain that he's already been killed, so it doesn't matter if he's town or scum. We're dicking around so fucking much right now.
