first i want to apologies as i wont be able to start the game until sometime tomorrow evening or night. in the meantime take the opportunity to get acquainted with the rules for this game.



Rules


1. PLAY TO WIN! Under no circumstances actually give up and stop trying to help your team. Playing poorly is fine, and to an extent expected, but sabotaging your side deliberately or through massive apathy will get you modkilled or replaced.

2. Please do not delete or edit posts. Any editing may result in a mod-kill.

3. Please do not quote your role PM or your night PMs verbatim. Always paraphrase.

4. If you think a mistake has been made PM me, do not post in the game thread.

5. External discussions about the game are forbidden.

6. Once dead, liking beginning and end of day flavor is permitted, but please refrain from liking posts throughout the day.

7. No whining! Each role is in the game for a reason. We apologize if you don’t find your role quite as interesting, but use the time during day-phases effectively and everyone will have a good experience.

8. Plurality will be in effect unless otherwise stated at the beginning of each day phase.

9. Please use ##Lynch and ##Unlynch. If you wish to change your lynch vote, please ##Unlynch before you ##Lynch someone else. If you fail to do so, your vote will not be counted.

10. If for some reason you want to not lynch anyone you may do so by voting for a no lynch. If no lynch wins the vote then nobody will be lynched.

11. If a tie occurs by the time the 24 hours is up, the day will move on to sudden death. At that point whoever gets the next vote dies, or if someone unvotes someone then the other person dies.

12. Each Day phase will last 24 hours unless otherwise specified. Nights will last at least 24 hours unless otherwise specified. As in nights will not end early if everyone sends their actions in, im not helping you figure out who has an active role that way.

13. All attacks will be public. If you think your attack is missing please send me a message, it's possible i forgot it, or maybe there is some other reason.

14. There are no day abilities in this game. Further, faking a day ability may result in you being mod killed.

15. Beginning and end of day flavor is just flavor, do not read into it. Also you will only be getting a role and not a character. this is both to allow for more suspenseful flavor as you will not know if you died until you read the role flip posted in spoilers after the flavor, and to prevent any issues with character claiming.

16. Knowledge of the Show is not necessary. There will be some limited spoilers, but not everything or everyone will be exactly the same as in the show. Additionally not all seasons of the show are being used.

17. Alignments: for the purposes of alignment scans results will be either scum or not scum.

18. Hidden text: there is hidden text involved in some of the roles, so again if you have a question send a PM.

Order of operations and other rules.

1. Blocking, Jailing and anything else that prevents an action from being taken. Passive abilities can not be blocked. Any player who has an ability that prevents them from taking an action used on them will be informed of it, regardless of if they have an active ability.

2. Redirections of any kind, including bussing, redirecting and puppet master roles.

3. Roles in which a individual player is attempting to find a specific person.

4. Killing roles.

4a. All kills take place at the same time, so you can both kill and be killed in the same night phase.

4b. To block a factional kill you must block the person doing the killing. The person performing a factional kill will not be able to use any other abilities that night.

5. Protective roles.

6. Killing roles resolve. As in we check to make sure nobody who was supposed to be killed was protected or redirected in any way.

7. Investigative roles.

8. Other.


Please note that not all of these actions are in this game, i included them so as to keep the roles in play a surprise.

i know that is a long post, but there are both general rules and game specific rules so please take the time to read it.

But really- the rules are worth reading, as there are some key things in there: Every role has a character assigned, but even you won't know who that is until you die. The no day actions notice is also key (along with faking day actions leading to your modkill).
