Seattle Grace Hospital was abuzz with activity. Doctors, nurses and interns lined the hallways, all seeming to be on their own, personal mission. An ambulance siren was heard faintly in the background. Growing louder and louder... then another, and yet another...

An announcement came over the intercom and pagers began buzzing, people quickly changed direction, many began running toward the ER entrance. They were expecting to find blood, broken bones, mangled flesh, critical injuries. They had seen it all before...

But something stopped everyone dead in their tracks before they even reached the doors to where the ambulances were already off-loading their damaged cargo...

Catherine Avery, head of the Harper Avery Foundation, Matriarch of the very prestigious Avery Family, was lying still and breathless in the middle of the floor. Fresh blood pooled around her body. Someone checked her vitals but it was too late. She was dead!

Everyone looked around. Chins dropped, eyes were wide. Something ominous was in the air, so thick you could've choked on it. Now, not knowing who could be trusted, these medical professionals began doing the only thing they could do...
