It's been another long and grueling day. You spot Bocanuck in the crows and begin harassing him.

"Speak!" you call out "Speak or die, dammit!"

"OK!" Bocanuck says.

Everyone stands around shocked. They begin to drift away from Bocanuck and look at other players.

"Vern!" says Darren Sanders. "Vern, you are bad. I know it!"

"I'm not! says Vern. "I'm a tough mother fucker and I won't die first chance you try!"

"Merc says he didn't go out!" notes Lamps.

"I'm the detective," replies Merc. "A very scared detective."

"Hmmm. Makes sense," says Lamps.

"What about Sugar?" says Jamie.

"You mean Free Candy?" asked Lamps.

"Yeah," says Jamie.

"Good enough for me!" exclaims the now talkative Bocanuck. He grabs FC and drags him to the fountain in the square. He holds FC's head under water, then pulls him up for a breath.

"Talk!" chants Angi as Bocanuck holds FC's head under again, then raises it.

"Tell us who you are!" Mercator yells as FC's head is held over once more.

"We know it is you!" says Spin as FC sputters and coughs.

"That's enough of this." Darren Sanders says, grabbing a two foot tree branch off the ground. He hits Free Candy in the head over and over, the blood spreading out into the water of the fountain. After a minute, he finally stops as Bocanuck drops the now lifeless body.

Searching FC, Jamie is surprised to find a stethoscope around FC's neck.

You are a New York native. You were working with a small group of roughs in Red Hook, Brooklyn, when the mob threatened you. Not wanting to back down, you and your friends kept on with your protection racket, until the mob hitmen arrived. Thinking you were dead for sure, you suddenly saw the hit squad were all dead. Standing in the middle of them was a man dressed all in black. “My friends,” he called to you, “I admire your pluck. I could use such as you to help me. I’ve saved your life, but now it belongs to me!”

With no other choice, you left with this man and went to Kingsport, Ma. He asks you to do things for him and you do them, whether it is stealing from the frightened citizens in town, or procuring large quantities of meat from the local butchers. What he does with all that meat you have no idea, nor do you want to know.

You had some training as a medic in the War, so you’ve learned a thing or two. Each night, you can choose to protect a person. If they are attacked, you save them, if your sanity is high enough. You cannot protect the same person two nights in a row nor can you protect yourself.
