The office took up the entirety of the 97th floor of Central Tower. The largest office in the largest building in the city, it is a room fit for a powerful man. And so, it’s only fitting that, on this night, Helios was sitting at his desk near the window. Across the desk were papers and photos and assorted documents. He sighed. He had gotten out of participating in the simulations for a long time. The simulations were addictive, almost like the most powerful drug. So much so, he had to leave town for a while. Then...it all changed. He happened to return to town. And almost immediately, he returned to the simulations. And it all made sense, really. Helios took pride in his performances in the simulations. One day, Helios figured he should go and figure out who first invented these simulations. “Mafia.” Helios thought to himself. “oh men”.

Helios swore as he said that. That stupid phrase. That stupid phrase, which now haunted his being. He glanced down at his desk. And there he saw it. Helios swore again, louder this time. “How could I be so foolish?” he thought to himself. This was probably his worst performance in the simulations. And now, he knew he would have to pay the price. All because of two simple little words. “oh men indeed”.

Helios swore a third time. And at this point, two men entered the office.

“Sir.” the first man said. “The simulation is complete.” The man took a deep breath. “Sir, what is our next move?”
Helios simply stared a hole through the man. The man stared back, getting irritated at Helios’ inability to answer. Finally, the man had enough. “Don’t get mad at me.” he blurted out. “I’m not the one who made mistakes and lost.”
The other man moved a few steps away as Helios jumped up from his seat. He grabbed the man by his throat and began to squeeze. Helios could feel the man falling to his knees, which simply made Helios squeeze harder. Helios felt a couple of pops from the man’s neck. He let go and watched the man hit the ground.

“Sir.” the other man said, causing Helios to stop viewing his handiwork. “I know you are still angry about happened, but there’s an easy solution.”
Helios glared. “And what is this...solution?” He glanced at the man lying on the ground, making sure his man followed his gaze. “It had better be good.”
“It’s simple.” the man replied. “You will run the next simulation yourself. With all the traps and pitfalls you can imagine.”
Helios stood there and thought about it. He walked over to his desk and flipped through some papers. Finally, he found the one he was looking for. A word was written across the top in all capital letters. Helios smiled to himself. This could work out well. “Go ahead. Summon them. But make it quick.” Helios paused a moment and glanced at the body still on the ground. “Oh, and call someone to take care of...this.”

The man walked out the room. Helios watched him go. He turned back around and gazed out the window. “oh men indeed...”
