despite it being labelled Overwatch 2 it seems like this is more of an expansion to the main game than an actual sequel? Seems like it's just gonna be focused on co-op campaign stuff
yeah I read a bit more about it and you only have to pay if you want all the new PvE content, anyone who has Overwatch 1 will automatically be transferred over to the new client and get access to all the PvP stuff (as well as any future updates for it). Apparently OW2 was the reason why content started getting pumped out slower and slower as time went on, e.g. they wanted to switch up the events every year but didn't have enough allocation since at least half the focus was on developing the new game
My interest in this game finally died off this year but I'll definitely give it another WHIRL whenever this drops
Upcoming patch is going to nerf the SHIT out of barriers.
Orisa:
Shield going from 900 to 600.
Base armor increased from 200 to 250
Movement speed penalty reduced from 30% to 20%
Fortify cooldown decreased from 10 seconds to 8 seconds
Sigma:
Shield reduced from 1500 to 900
Shield health regener rate reduced from 150 to 120
Kinetic Grasp cooldown reduced from 13 seconds to 10 seconds
K.G. Damage-to-shield gain ratio increased from 40% to 60%
Rein:
Barrier Field Health reduced from 2000 to 1600
Movement speed penalty reduced from 50% to 25%
Knockback resistance increased from 30% to 50%
Armor damage reduction increased from 3 to 5
