Vic was walking across London Bridge. It was a cold night, and he was heading home.

As he walked across the bridge, he became conscious of footsteps echoing behind him. He was filled with a sudden dread. The streets had been safe up until very recently. Now paranoia and terror were rampant. And for good reason. There had been brutal attacks and murders all across London every night.

Vic turned around slowly to see who was following him. But no sooner had he done this than he was pounced upon by a blurry figure. Vic gasped in shock. His assailant wrestled him to the ground and tried to subdue him. Vic tried to push his attacker off but failed to do so. His assailant lifted him up and dragged him to the railing.
"No...don't do this!" Vic pleaded.
His attacker pushed him over the railing, and held him dangling by his legs. Vic saw the murky waters of the Thames below. He got vertigo and became queasy. Then he felt himself falling. He hit the water with a great big splash and fell unconscious...

Washed ashore in the morning, alive and well.

Based on what has happened in this game, I would say it's a lock that every one of those people is a vanilla townie.
