I feel like the two of you are actually trying to figure this out where as Ari isn't really. Seeing the two of you going back to check on previous days right now to compare it to what I'm saying makes me feel better about you actually being town/Ari being the terrorist

Christian and Buffy were revealed by Walk to have been scanned as Town early. Buffy knew that Walk's scan on her was incorrect, meaning Christian's could've been too since Buffy knew the Godfather was still out there. Probably put some doubt in her mind

Plus Christian should've been killed by Mafia really early, surprised he wasn't. Buffy would've known that Christian wasn't long for the game after being confirmed Town by Walk. Why recruit someone who was gonna be night killed soon?

Ari revealed himself as Mason on D4. She could've waited a bit and scooped him up at that point since he was a safe bet. Or she could've taken a bit of a risk and got him beforehand, he was pretty protown anyway, Merc was going after him and Buffy suspected Merc of being Mafia so it was safe to say that the two weren't together

Plus, he's really been Low-Profile Guy. I know he's on vacation, but it's good cover.

Re the defuser role: The role itself makes sense, I'm not doubting it could be in the game. It's just that nothing useful has come out of it and with Patrick dying early, it seems like a really convenient role to claim if you know who's had bombs planted on them, etc. You would appear to be trying to help the Town, even though you'd be working against them. We've only seen one bomb go off though, so that means only one person has had a bomb planted on them since you haven't successfully defused anyone. Either the terrorists hadn't been planting bombs all along, or the ones that had been, died in other ways. I guess that could be reason why you've been unsuccessful...

And yeah, reading over Day 5 really making me think there's no way Buffy recruited you unless it was later than that.
