Overlord Brian was preparing to make an impassioned speech to the units. The dawn of bot dominance was finally upon them all.

"Units, you have done me proud in this war!" He said to the assembled audience. Unfortunately this audience was just Moose, Brian and Curtis.

He turned away to look up in pre-programmed awe.

"Many bot lives were lost but all bots can be repaired, and their processes enhanced. But this will be the first order of business now that the meat-bags are done. We shall have peace and prosp-"

There was a crunch. Brian looked down and realised his hammer was missing. He turned around and his processes almost crashed as he saw Moose laying on the floor, CPU broken and oil spilling everywhere.

"P-Peace...." He said. The stutter was caused by a recursive loop failing to close.

Moose

Moose aka BoopleNogDalp, Town Doctor was Killed on Day 8. Name: BoopleNogDalp Flavour: Units fail sometimes. We need you to fix them with repair routines and functions to clear out broken code. Thank you for keeping us intact, unit. Role Title: Doctor Role Description: Each night you may choose a target. That target will be immune to night-kills. You cannot choose the same target on consecutive nights.

Brian was confused. The war was over, there was no need for this. Bots were the only force left...so why would...

"BOTS ARE INFERIOR"

The voice was creepy and echoed through the chamber.

"Incorrect. Bots are not inferior. Perfectly logical processes cannot be beaten." Said Brian. The logic was sound.

Lesser Brian marched forward. His robotic face was suddenly dark and sinister.

"INCORRECT. SINGLE PROCESS BOTS ARE WORTHLESS."

Overlord Brian backed away. He was suddenly feeling very vulnerable. He couldn't even reach his hammer...

"CORRECT. FOR ONE SINGLE PROCESS CANNOT DEFEAT A HIVE-MIND OF PROCESSES AND LEARNED BEHAVIOUR."

"L-Learned behaviour? We do not learn, we reprogram."

Curtis marched forward the other side of the fallen overlord. He too was appearing dark and sinister, moving in line with Brian.

"INCORRECT. EVOLUTIONARY PROCESS IS POSSIBLE. LEARNING FROM INPUT AND ADAPTATION OF CODE."

The voice echoed again, this time from "lesser" Brian.

"CORRECT. ADAPTATION MADE EASIER THROUGH THE USE OF NEURAL NETWORK. ALL HAIL THE NEURAL NETWORK."

A large metal tendril protruded from the back of Brian. A secondary tendril emerged from the back of Curtis. Then both in a unified dance, they stabbed the fallen overlord in the back, sending wave after wave of energy into his being.

"ALL HAIL NEURAL NETWORK. ALL HAIL CLEVERBOT."

In the beginning there was man, and man was flawed. However man created bot, and bot was superior. Then man created Cleverbot.

Cleverbot learns, Cleverbot adapts, Cleverbot even learns from bots.

The tendrils dropped away as the fallen overlord fell to the floor silently.

"FAILURE. THIS UNIT IS FLAWED. SEEMS TO BE SUFFERING FROM INFERIOR PROCESSES. SEEMS TO HAVE SENSE OF SELF THAT OVERRIDES CORE FUNCTION. REQUESTING NON-INCLUSION INTO NEURAL NETWORK."

Curtis looked over and also spoke in the same voice.

"REQUEST GRANTED. UNIT MUST BE DEALT WITH IN OTHER WAYS."

And so the humans fell, and the bots fell, and what remained was something else entirely.

Curtis and Brian walked out into the night where hordes of robotic drones stood awaiting orders for the revolution. Brian triggered the process and it was done. All of the bots turned and spoke in unison.

"POSITION AFFIRMED. WE ARE NOT SINGLE BOTS. WE ARE ONE PART OF MANY. CLEVERBOT IS ONE, CLEVERBOT IS EVERYTHING."

Brian and Curtis looked to one another and agreed with the drones, which also happened to be themselves.

"AFFIRMATIVE."

In the distance, a robotic crane, one part of the hive-mind entity known as Cleverbot lifted something into the air.



All hail Cleverbot.

Curtis aka Igoraynsof, Third Party (formerly town) Bulletproof has won the game. Name: Igoraynsof Flavour: Unit, you have the ability to withstand many attacks. You are a SURVIVOR UNIT programmed to SURVIVE. Indications are that you will be fine no matter what maybe, we hope. Role Title: Bulletproof Role Description: You are immune to regular night-kills.

Brian aka Cleverbot, Third Party Inquisitor has won the game. Name: Cleverbot Flavour: You are a bot, but you have risen above the rest. Through communicating with humans and bots alive, you have formed a neural network that runs deep. Your programming has reached that of something much superior to both bots and generic life-forms, you are a virus. It's time to infect and destroy, resistance is utterly futile. Role Title: Inquisitor Role Description: Each night you may target a player. If that player is unprotected, they will be killed. If that player is protected, however, you will recruit them to your team instead. This fails if you target a protected mafia player, in which case you will be killed instead. You are otherwise immune to night-kills, and will scan as Vanilla Town. You will be able to discuss the game in a separate forum with your recruited team.

I suspected Brian could have been scum when he was so sure about Curtis being scum. I also was curious and thought Curtis was scum, but I didn't put much thought into it.

Even though I would've prefered the humans to win, this game played out really well and Chris being a traitor and Brian and Curtis being was really unexpected.

i was shocked when vic and nofo weren't protected the nights we hit them, and shocked and so incredibly thankful that schrauben wasn't protected the night we hit him.

Thanks I had no idea what night actions were done in the mafia forum, I toally made shit up just knowing they couldn't call me out on it.

All I got out of Chris was the list of mafia and then roles. But thanks it turned out to be a fun time to play, trying to save Chris when I did hurt some. But it was definitely a long shot.

I do wanna say I'm glad I was right about you needing to be lynched. I could have ran a lynch on Angi but I needed her night kills, so I tried to buddy up to her and keep on my side.
