Okay. Everybody now has a "ticket number". The ticket number gets assigned based on the order they post in the thread that they want to host. The "next ticket" number is maintained, so that's currently at 23 since people's ticket numbers in the queue currently go up to 22.

If Curtis posted next and then me, Curtis would get ticket number 23 and I'd get 24. The new "next ticket" number will be 25. This won't change and our ticket numbers will never change either. So if Curtis cancelled in this scenario, I'd still be 24 and the next ticket would still be 25.

If a host posts they want to host two games, but they're within five ticket numbers of each other, their second game ticket will be pushed down to five places. So if I posted I wanted to host another game immediately after, that game would be assigned ticket number 29. The next ticket would still be 25. This is to keep things fresh and ensure hosts get cycled about a bit unless we're in a mafia LAPSE where nobody wants to host.

When a game ends, the host who has the lowest ticket number in the ready queue is up. If their game is still not ready, they'll drop out into the "unknown" status queue. They will STILL keep their ticket number though. The ready queue will roll onto the next host down until a ready host is found.

At any point after the current game ends, any player who has a ticket number LOWER than the next player in the ticket queue can reclaim their spot. So I was up to host with ticket number 23 and I held off, I'd go into the unknown status queue. In three games time if a host with ticket number 27 was up and I wanted to host now, I'd automatically jump to the top of the ready queue.

This means people don't have to be ready and they get an auto-in for their next game when they are.

This sounds incredibly complicated on paper but it SHOULD work and I'll try to keep it maintained so we can have a steady flow here.

Okay I sorted it. The ticket numbers in the first post are now correct. Anybody in the "unknown" queue with a lower ticket than the next game in the ready queue is free to butt in and take their spot.
