Thank you to everyone who played! I really enjoyed hosting and it was a lot of fun watching you play. I also appreciated those who PM'd their thoughts after they died.

Before I post the HOF/HOL I just want to say I really tried to make a balanced game but, with 34 players, it was challenging to assign roles. There were some things I would do differently now like having less town power roles. I had 6 vanillas and I know that's not an exciting role but I think I actually should have had a few more because town had a lot of power roles and the Werewolf team only had one - Shadow/Sorcerer.

Anyway, here are the HOF/HOL's. I posted a lot of thoughts during the game so I've tried to condense these down in the following list. Please don't take anything personally - they're just my opinions - and, of course, I had an advantage by knowing all the roles/actions so it's easy for me to be critical. :P

HOF:

Curtis - MVP of the game. He led his team to victory and was a lot of fun to watch while he did it. Curtis's Lycan claim to save himself over Lone Wolf Vic was great. Also all the hilarity of saving himself the day after Vic flipped wolf while being restricted to post only in pics/gifs/etc...and getting out of any lynches at all until Boc flipped and the Wolves decided to kill him as strategy. He kept the roles/possible roles organized for the wolves and led them in strategy up until his death.

Shadow - Congrats on winning your first time as scum lol! He had some great moments, for instance the last day where he didn't hold back but stayed on the offensive in order to get Julie (or Shiki) lynched. This was the opposite of the day before when he let Moose put them all on the defensive and force claims. Shadow's Martyr claim was also good. Not too complicated but believable.

Faith - His Beholder claim was great since it wasn't in the game. He also had some great ideas/insights on the scum board, I would have liked to see him be a little more confident in them. He really showed up Day 7 and brought up some good reasons to lynch Colby like indirectly implying that Colby could be the SK and also putting suspicions on Hot Cocoa. He was also aggressive and started the idea of lynching Hot Cocoa on Day 8.

Shadow and im317 - For taking Cult Leader Chris under their wings after he came on yelling in all caps about how he couldn't figure anything out and claiming newbiism. (:

Herm - Day 1, he picked up on a comment of Mal's about porridge. He guessed him to possibly be in a "trio of bears." He was off about the fairy tale theme but the trio of bears guess with Mal was actually correct except he was in a trio of Masons. I don't know if Mal was actually laying bread crumbs but lol at Herm picking up on that. Herm had some good instincts like guessing the SK might be killing Paco (he was right) the night they were planning on killing Curtis and getting two kills. They ended up killing Paco anyway, but Herm was always thinking through multiple scenarios in order to figure out the best thing to do.

The Werewolf Team overall - Herm, Shadow, Faith, Curtis, Angi, im317 and yes...Vic! This was a fun team to watch. I was really sad when both im317 and Angi left the game so early. The Werewolf board was almost as fun to watch as the Day threads, sometimes more! With only one power role and having to all agree every single night on the kill, they did a great job!

Mercator - A very solid, smart town player. I was super bummed he got the Old Man role and had to die as part of his role....originally he would've died Night 6 but, with Angi/im317 both dying, it was moved up to Night 4. His frustration over people not figuring out/wanting to lynch Woodoodoo was hilarious.

Wikey - Besides his Night 1 scan of dr (which is understandable since it was Night 1), he was pretty spot-on about scum. He scanned, and got a positive on Herm and was working on scanning Curtis the night he died. He targeted Faith when he knew he couldn't lynch Herm (since Herm was banned). I think if he was Seer, and not Apprentice Seer, we could have seen an early demise of the scum team.

Hot Cocoa - He thought through his targets and tried to put himself in a good position without being too obvious about the kills. Until the day he was lynched, I thought he had a decent shot at winning.

Greenday - Scanning Vic night 3 and Curtis night 4. It was a risk to keep his knowledge of Vic under his hat but it paid off when the wolves didn't kill him Night 4 (they came close).

Patrick - For linking two non-town players, Angi and Chris, together. I do think letting him pick on Night 1 was a mistake, it really should have been night zero. Or, better yet, I was originally not going to have a cupid and just make two people soulmates as their role. This was a pretty funny outcome, though.

Ari's one-liners. He was pretty funny. He did come off a little scummy, which inevitably got him killed by Matt, but I can understand why since he didn't know which team he was going to end up on. It was very sad he died before Boc. I really wanted him to get his role.

Chris - His instincts in recruiting were pretty good in picking Brian. Then, he was going to recruit Julie, which would have been a good idea...until someone suggested Shadow and he died lol.

Paul - As Curtis said - "Wrecking Ball PORL" coming through. On Day 2 he showed up and was pretty spot on with his posts. Asking why so many needed to pile on the Aries train Day 1 and not letting things go...although he got very lame answers back and I don't think a lot of people got his points. He was also very on point with some of his reads (Angi/Faith). Like dr, I wanted to like almost everything he said.

Woodoodoo - I loved his speeches in the beginning of the game, addressing the "citizens" and talking about how "every vote counts." It was fun, I just wish we saw more of him.

HOL:

Nofo - Claiming his role on Day 3 is one of the lamest things I think I've seen. Or maybe just laziest? That role is meant to be a little challenging and he obviously wasn't up for that challenge. Sure, he's town now and wants to win but it seems like he just figured the wolves were in trouble so he'd rather not risk getting turned. I was actually hoping they would've killed Nofo last night instead of Paul. It would've made up for the im317/Angi deaths but still kept the game interesting. Also, forcing town to have to lynch him instead of actually scum-hunting was a big distraction for town.

Tricks - For not passing the amulet to Mal, which would have saved him the night he was killed.

Woodoodoo - Even though people were doubting it because I wasn't showing Woodoodoo's double vote in end vote counts, he was fairly obvious about his role. I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did.

Vic's opening Day 2 post - sooo scummy. I commented (in my notes) that I would've lynched him if I were town, then Curtis commented on the scum board that he would lynch him, then Woodoodoo lynched him.

Boc - Since he was pretty much completely inactive, I was hoping he'd die early so Ari would get his role. Surviving so long did allow Curtis to get out of a sticky situation for a few days though, which was quite fun to watch.

Moose - Although it was hilarious, since it was Vernon but, spellcasting Vernon and then proposing he was faking it to get him lynched, not such a townie thing to do. I can see why she was keeping quiet about her role but to set people up to get them lynched just on a whim, especially that early..lol Also, spellcasting Faith then calling him inactive the next day.

Werewolves - For killing dr because Curtis saw her using PM Night 1. I get she's a formidable adversary but I hated that move!

Werewolves - For going overboard at times in their attempts to distance themselves by accusing their own team instead of bringing up alternative targets and making a case for them. Specifically when Curtis and Herm were catching heat, some of their team were too quick to point at them. I get the distancing...but agreeing too much with town and even going so far as to lynch your own can be hard to undo later.

dr - Dying and not using her action because I was excited about her role. I understand why she didn't but it was still a bummer.

Tim - Insisting that I would've announced if Vernon was "silenced" over and over was ridiculous. In fact, everyone focusing so much on Vernon was pretty ridiculous when there were definitely other people to scrutinize. And Tim once again trying to break the rules by adding a long post about the game in his signature after he died.

Vic and Angi - For being super scummy right off the bat lol

Brian - For talking Chris out of target Julie and into target Shadow, which ultimately got Chris killed (as well as Angi).

Greenday - For lynching Woodoodoo after figuring out his role has something to do with votes when it should have been obvious he was the mayor and pro-town. Also, for scanning Vic night 3 and not even going after him day 4. Instead he lynched Faith, FOS'd Woodoodoo and watched Vernon get lynched.

Greenday - For bringing up the cards and insisting everything was done a certain way. While I did base the game on Ultimate Werewolf, and provided a link to possible roles because this game is different in a lot of ways than Mafia, it still shouldn't be assumed every single thing was done exactly how "the cards" showed it. Mercator not knowing what the "X" meant for example. I didn't want him to know so I didn't tell him! Also the Lycan debate - there was nothing set in stone as to whether I would tell them they were a Lycan or not. I did but I could have just as easily decided to go the other way.

Ahoda - Also for the Lycan argument and assuming it only worked one way.

Herm - For not having his claim ready despite having talked about it for a few days on the wolf board. And, when he did claim, he picked something which required a list of night targets and didn't have that ready, either.

Yea, that deserved a HOL. I had no idea what I was doing with my ability. It sucked since I didn't have any help.

re: Merc's role my point was while it was "hidden" from him that was still a part of the role on the card, hence my confusion as to why "x" was hidden from him in the first place and my belief that you didn't really deviate from the cards at all
Please ask me on October 1st if they woke me up. I've literally never heard it before and I'm definitely not tired of it.
