"Leave the gun. Take the cannoli." - Peter Clemenza
Vic was stood in his apartment, looking at the streets of New Jersey below. Not too long ago he had seen DR shot to death before his very eyes in broad daylight. And then he had watched the Godfather himself killed by a lynch mob. He poured a glass of scotch and sighed, looking down at the world below. Suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his back. He collapsed to the floor, gasping in pain. His vision blurred. He could make out the faint shape of a man stood over him. Another sharp pain hit him, this time in his chest. He heard some distant shouting. His assailant rushed off. Vic looked down at his chest. A knife was protruding from it, and he was bleeding. But he was still alive.
Vic has survived an attack
Paco kissed his wife goodbye and made for his car.
"Don't forget the cannoli!" she called after him.
"Yeah yeah yeah," Paco replied sarcastically. He got in his car and started driving. He had work to do. The Godfather, his lifelong friend and loyal servant, was dead. Word was that the Don's youngest son, Michael, was going to take over the family business. Paco was unsure of his credentials, but he would serve by the new Don as best as he could. As he came to a stop at some traffic lights he took a glance in the rear-view mirror. To his surprise he saw someone sitting in the back seat, holding a gun.
"Oh shi-"
BANG
Paco's brains were splattered all over the wind screen.
Paco has been killed

Hmm... working this out it makes zero sense for the vig to go after Vic over Paco. Paco screams of a bad vig attempt (Seriously, unless you're sure or hitting inactives, stop firing blindly into the crowd hoping to hit something).
Course this doesn't stop Vic from potentially being cult leader, but that'd a stupidly wacky claim for a cult leader to make on Day 1, asking to be killed pretty soon.
In Vic's defense, given his bodyguard role being outed so soon, if someone had a vest to give out, he'd be the ideal person to give it to (assuming the claim is true, which I'm inclined to believe).

Very true.
This means a lot of protective roles though which leaves me... weary, to say the least. A bulletproof, a vest giver, two protective roles. Seems a bit... much. But perhaps the mafia is rather large so town got lots of ammo to keep the balance in tact? Dunno.
In any event... after what happened with im317, I would really prefer not to spend the entire fucking day debating on whether or not Vic is telling the truth. Someone's got to have something. And if not, a meaningful question for someone. The tunnel vision has got to end.
I'm going to go back and read some shit. It's my weekend so I finally have time for doing productive things.
