I don't know the details about either of these, but they sound cool enough. I like the variety of their original shows, and a sci-fi show and a thriller would be a good addition

The first one was entertaining enough. But it felt more like a "okay let's get this origin out of the way so we can have Cap in Avengers!" than being an actual good movie (like Iron Man)

Yeah i think you can skip the first movie it really wasn't that good. And I doubt there is anything critical you'll need to know from the 1st one in order to follow along in the 2nd.
I actually liked the first captain america movie. Hated the villain since he was sooo dull and plain but had it not been for the villain I think it would have made a really good movie.
I didn't mean to imply it was horrible. I liked it as a 1 time watch. But I doubt it's going to be necessary to watch it in order to know what's going on in the 2nd movie.
