Set up

This game is gonna be radically different and experimental. It's hardly even a mafia at all tbh. There isn't even a night phase!

There is one King , one Assassin , and the remainder of the players are Guards who are all told the identity of the King.

The Assassin has one kill that they can use at any time during the game, typically after being lynched. Their goal is to identify the King so that they can use this kill against him. If the Assassin successfully kills the King, then they win, otherwise the King and Guards win. The Assassin doesn't need to survive to win.

This setup differs from normal mafia in that the "town" has more information than the "mafia" does. Every Guard that is lynched narrows the number of targets the Assassin must consider, so the challenge for the Guards is to find out who the Assassin is as quickly as possible without giving away the identity of the King.

SO, the point is that every player will pretend to be the King in order to confuse the lone assassin. He or she must try to narrow down the suspect field by surviving lynch votes in order to eliminate suspects. The guards and King want to try to lynch the assassin as early as possible so that the assassin has to choose from a large field of players for his/her kill victim.

If the assassin identifies and kill the King, the assassin wins. If the assassin kills the wrong person, the King and the surviving guards win.

I have no idea how this one will go but I watched a game play out on some other forum and it looked really fun. Hopefully it's good. Once everyone checks in I'll send out the roles!

The assassin has only ONE kill shot at the King. Their best bet is to wait until they finally get lynched, so that they'll have to choose between the fewest amount of people

If the assassin hasn't been lynched yet, and is that confident they know who the King is, they can officially send me their kill and the game will end whether they're right or wrong

GAME COMMENCING IN A MOMENT!

Long ago, in a great, faraway land, a stone temple sat in the sand. This was the City of FE.

FE was controlled by the greatest King in all the land. So powerful, so wealthy, that his life was threatened time and time again.

One day, during a great feast, Jeffrey the Jester offered the great King a platter of food. The King yanked the platter away from Jeffrey the Jester and began feasting.

Suddenly, the King clutched at his throat and gasped for air. He fell to his knees, then onto his belly. He was dead.

"SEIZE HIM!" someone yelled....it was the King!

"WHA?? I DON'T UNDERSTAND!" screamed the struggling Jeffrey

"HA! You only killed my double, you fool. OFF WITH HIS HEAD!"

The King's loyal guards brought Jeffrey to his knees, placed his neck against the chopping log, and cleaved his head clean off.



"My King!" a guard spoke. "We checked the Jester's quarters. A dead guard was found within, stripped of his armor!"

The King thought. "That means one of you...is one of them.."

"WE MUST FIND THE TRAITOR!" they yelled.
