I've been meaning to do this for a loooong time. I've been slowly collecting all of Agatha Christie's novels for awhile. She's my favorite author and And Then There Were None (as some of you could've guessed) is my favorite book
HOWEVER! Two things have kept me from collecting/reading all of her work. 1. I'm a horrible reader. Just way too slow, I can't churn books out like others and I also don't particularly want to. 2. I've always envisioned a nice complete collection of her whodunnits on a couple of shelves, all under the same publication. THAT has been my biggest hold up. I wanted a nice uniform row of her books published by the same company so they'd look super cohesive. That was my plan for a long time so I started buying under the same publication. But recently I'm like....fuck it? The publication I was buying under was the most common one that I'd see at book stores so it'd be the most attainable. But lately I've grown to hate the way the covers look. And then I started to pick up some nice vintage/used versions and I like those so much better. So we're going for a mix matched collection here. In fact, whenever I found vintage/older versions of her books that I already own under the sleek newer publication...I'm probably gonna buy them and swap them out
If you couldn't tell by now, this is about to be a personal thread where I expect no interaction and that's fine, I'm mostly gonna ramble to myself. Gonna be using this thread to track what I own + what I've read + what I still need to buy (so many). She's got 66 total detective novels, I might own about 20? Tbd, gonna log them all soon. Making this thread now as a placeholder
Stargate! Feel free to join me if you wish. I suspect your collection trumps mine

I absolutely hated the mysterious affair at styles. Read it for a book club but had to stop and get the audible version so I could finish. It’s one of her earlier ones so that could be why it was rough for me. And then there was none was good from what I remember.

I feel like I've read and own most of the Agatha Christie's with Poirot as the detective. I also have a bunch of the Miss Marple ones I got a while ago. I've read a couple but have been meaning to read more. So many of the titles are hard to remember and pair with the stories sometimes but I think I would remember most if I heard you talking about them. But my brain is a siv, tbf!
Reading like a dozen that I got 2 years ago was so much fun. I look forward to hearing your favorites and the one's you hate lol |

hey curt do you have "Passenger to Frankfurt"
I picked up a 1970 copy at some point at an estate sale. Books at those around here almost never sell so they're usually dirt cheap.
I thought it was more vintage until I really looked at it just now tho. Might be too new for you | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

Maybe once i read it i'll send it your way. If you look up the 1970 prints of it its the one with the purple dust jacket, the hardcover underneath is red | d ( i n o s r o a ) r
