I can't say what item I make or it breaks it. I'm not exactly sure how it works but I assume it would show up at the start of day and then people guess what it does and the correct guess gets the item. It's no guarantee a townie would nab it, though, so I don't feel that important to town.

This is the part I'm most confused about. Could be lack of clarity in the role description, but idk it feels off. If the item appears, why can't you say what it is? Or can you not say what it does?

I'm the Item Maker. I'm town. I invent items at night that get sent out during the day. These items are up for grabs for anyone. There's no real limit on what I can make. I can make it a protective item like a BP vest. I can make it deadly, like a 1-shot night kill, whatever. An item that lets someone track someone. etc. etc.

I'm not allowed to claim the item for myself. I know what the item is. I've made it. But if I guess what it is then it will break and be unusable. Since I know I can't guess what the item does, I'm assuming others will be able to guess what it does and if they get it right they get it.
