The show is great.
I enjoyed the twists/reveals of the second half of 3rd season (I felt first half was weird, but mainly because I had a huge gap between that and 2nd season).

My only complaints are about few characters, like how Mikasa is extremely boring.

Spoiler + So where I’m at now they’re trying to get the Boulder back into the gate of the wall that the Titans blasted through. They’re testing out the main guy’s power to transform into a Titan. I forget his name haha. There’s so many characters that come and go it’s insanely hard to keep track on who is who other than the main 3 characters for the most part.

The important ones are the closest ones to the 3 of the cadets (there's around 10 of them?) and the easily recognizable older soldiers later and commanders. He's Eren Jaeger, then you have Mikasa Ackerman and Armin (Arlelt had to google that last name, he's always just called Armin IIRC)

Oh and don't google anything, even the autofill suggestions can spoil you easily.


There's tons of foreshadowing in the show for stuff that he hadn't even written yet for years, it's crazy. I didn't pick up on anything and usually I hate foreshadowing because of how easily I pick up on it and how telling it can be.
I really should do a full rewatch soon.

Yeah so I actually think I JUST got to the part you're essentially talking about. Like 8 or so main characters just chose to join the Scouts and everyone else was like "nah fuck that." It's very hard to tell a difference between like 2-3 of the girls in that group. I have no fucking idea who is who. Same with another 1-2 dudes that I just can't peg. Jean I know now. He got a big feature this episode deciding if he should join Scouts or not. Eren I like. Misaka is kind of boring so far. I understand her character is one of the best fighters blah blah blah but I've seen that protective guardian arc before and hope she gets something new soon. Aaaaaaand then there's Armin, lol. His whiny ass voice is so annoying (I am watching dubbed, don't yell at me!). I don't love him, but I don't hate him. Excited to see him step up. I like the short shaved head dude in the group who joined the Scouts (maybe because I can actually distinguish him from other characters!) lol. I also like whatever his name is, the best fighter of the Scouts. He kinda reminds me of L from Death Note in a way. Scenes with him are great. So the last episode I watched ended with them all leaving the gate as Scouts going on a mission to test Eren's ability and try and eventually try and get to his old home's basement.

The first three seasons have the same studio working on them but the show is getting produced by a different one for its last season. not a huge shift imo and I actually think it works better for the tonal change the show has for the last season

Spoiler + They just failed their first Scout mission hard lol So many people I thought would be main characters died so at least it helps me figure out who is who slightly better. Still confused on the girls The FEMALE Titan is one tough bitch. I don’t know how but I’ll just make a wild guess and say that’s Eden’s mom or sister somehow. They didn’t kill him, just kept him on their tongue and ran away, so that’s my theory. Somehow! Obviously no one tell me if I’m correct.

Annie is the taller lone wolf blonde who joined the Military Police
Sasha is the chestnut brunette who eats a lot (potato girl)
Ymir is the taller brunette with freckles
