In the middle of a skirmish, you cut down an incoming cultist and watch as a peculiar looking time piece falls from their robe, skittering across the stone floor. You retrieve the object, and after studying it for just a moment, you wind back its crooked hour hand.

Your mind shifts and so does your weight as you suddenly feel your left hip drop a bit lower. You reach into the pouch strapped to your waist and discover a handful of gold there. At first you don't remember how it came to be in your possession, but the memory quickly comes back to you. You distinctly recall you, Lavina, and Canassa searching for the missing townsfolk at the edge of the woods surrounding Langdale, instead finding a rotting corpse with some gold in its possession.
You rub your temple and snap out of it just in time to dodge an attack from one of the robed figures. Time to jump back into the fray. | |
