The seven parties, two missing a member, one with an extra member, all went their separate ways and searched the now empty town of Langdale for any sign of...anything.

Booberella and Priggat helped a wasted Tuuluuwaq into the more residential district of Langdale. Tall, narrow houses lined the cobblestone streets, half of which had their wooden doors ajar and gently blowing with the breeze. The trio tiptoed into one house quietly.

"hello ips annyoez izn vhere ydor not??" asked Tuuluuwaq loudly, much to Booberella and Priggat's dismay. No on answered.

"I thupposth we thould--"

Priggat was interrupted by a swift slice across his leg with a sharp blade. He hissed out and fell to the wooden floor, clutching the wound instinctively as he landed with a thud.

A shadow darted by again, this time slicing Booberella across the back of her legs. She fell down in a heap face first, but her blow was thankfully cushioned. Without any support, drunk Tuuluuwaq was on his way down as well, but a slice across his scale armor by the shadowy assailant punctuated his fall. The three brandished their weapons and limped backwards out of the house as quickly as possible.

Across town, The Pack and Ying Yang Yang headed straight for the church where Lavina had played pranks earlier that day. Murder Bunny kicked the large, double doors open despite Pastor Sandor's petition. The six spilled into the church where they were surprised to see...people. About ten figured, each wearing a dark purple robe, sat in the pews with their backs to their visitors.

Slowly, the six stood up and mechanically moved towards the group, each one brandishing a curved blade.

"Ruh roh" said Rara.

A brief skirmish later and the twelve robed figures were now a heaping pile of carcasses strewn about the interior of the church. Sandor, for his role, did three Hail Mary's and forced everyone to cough up some gold into the collection plate for spilling blood on Holy ground.

Randall lowered the hood of one of their assailants and recognized them as one of the townsfolk who he had helped out earlier that same day.

"Something isn't right with this town..."

Elsewhere, the bulk of the parties met at The Townmaster's Hall. The Assblasting duo, The Rokstars sans Khanarak, Hell's Belles, and the larger than usual Keepers of the Woods crept into he hall weapon ready.

"Sneaksies methinks." whispered Rok as everyone hunched down and snuck in.

"STEALTH. I COMPLETELY AGREE. THAT IS THE WAY TO GO!" yelled Malus. His voice echoed throughout the hall...

Suddenly, movement. A robbed figure dashed through a door at the far end of the hall. The parties gave chase, with The Northerners, The pack, and Ying Yang Yang hearing the commotion and joining soon after.

The groups ran to the doorway the figure had entered. A creaking spiral staircase curved downwards into a cellar. When Cyrillus dropped a torch down the stairs, he watched as it fell...and fell....and fell.

The torch revealed a gigantic, seemingly endless cavern beneath The Townmasters Hall and seemingly the entire city of Langdale. As the torch fell, it revealed the vertical spiral staircase as it descended for far too long. The torch light eventually vanished from sight.

Akmong finally spoke.

"To search for Khanarak, or to abandon him....let's leave it to a vote."

13 hands for, 7 against. Down the groups went...

(Meanwhile, a satchel of 15 gold pieces sat still in the woods surrounding Langdale, where they would remain undiscovered for one thousand ages until they eventually disintegrate into dust.)
