It was a snowy day in Iceland. Like it always is. Everyone was just doing what they always did, try and survive the cold winter and reach another very short summer before another winter took over. Town folk where walking around in knee deep snow, walking their dogs who where somewhere lost under the snow or just trying to get to the local supermarket for some delicious sheep testicles and sheep face. It was a pretty decent day, considering. They only had to find their car once in the snow and no one had died, that they knew of.

Suddenly they heard a horn blow. It was newly elected congressman Óttar Proppe standing on top of the Reykjavik city hall.



"Hear my children, for the mayor is dead!" he said

Everyone stood there horrified. It couldnt be. Reykjavíks beloved mayor Jón Gnarr was dead?



But who could do such a thing to such a wonderful man? He was nothing but sweet and loving. Only wanting what is best for his citizens and wanted everyone to be equal. The town demanded answers and a witch hunt begun.

"It was that damned Hanna Birna! Everyone knows she wants to be mayor" said one person from the crowd.

"No it has to be Dagur B. Eggertsson, surely as he is next in line as mayor!"

"Silence!" said Óttar Proppe

"We must find the intruders, but as a democratic nation we will only lynch a person if the majority agrees on it" he continued

Everyone agreed.

"We also must find a mayor, but that will not be done without a democratic vote" Óttar Proppé said

Since Iceland only contains logical people everyone agreed with that as well.

So the discussion commenced.

With the mayor dead you have to choose another mayor. The mayor will have a one shot ability to stop a lynch. 12 people are needed for majority. If no one is elected, no one gets the office.

With 22, it takes 12 to reach a majority. Plurality is on.

I was forced to eat it as a kid so I'm not really that sympathetic towards you seeing it.
