Hanif hung up the phone after speaking to his big sister. He sighed. She was so smart! He knew he was not a DUMBASS but still felt insecure after speaking with her. He decided to take a walk outside. The fresh air might do him good.

He walked out through the lobby into the front of the resort. He noticed the bike rack and his thoughts went to poor Brad. Turned out he was just an innocent guy, but everyone found his absence conspicuous. He noticed someone messing around with a bike lock - it looked like they had some kind of a tool in their hands. Maybe a bolt cutter? He cleared his throat loudly to get the supposed thief's attention. The person looked up at him and quickly walked away into the darkness.

Hanif walked over to the bike rack to see if there was any damage to the bikes or their locks. He bent over to inspect the lock on one.

Suddenly, he felt something crashing into his skull! He had been hit by something heavy and it hurt like an MFer!! (Hanif rarely swore outright, even in his thoughts.)

He fell backwards, his head meeting the pavement hard. His head ached so bad.. he was feeling very dizzy. He looked up and directly into the face of his attacker. He saw the bolt cutter just as it smashed into his skull for the final time.

Hanif has been killed!

Hanif Al-Husseini - Hanif came to the United States as a young child of 5 years, with the rest of his family from Iran in the 90's. As with all Iranians, Hanif is very well educated and definitely not a DUMBASS. Hanif can be a bit impulsive at times. Why? That's a good question. Personal experience says that's a good quality. He also loves math and likes to make fun of his younger sister. His older sister is smarter and more well educated than Hanif, which makes Hanif insecure. He's currently dating someone who is not muslim, but don't tell his parents. It's supposed to be a secret. The group didn't know either Brad or Hanif very well but they did their best to mourn them and pay their respects. They decided the best way to do that was to catch a killer today.

Kat stepped up first, finally focused after a few twirls. "Karen said she's not a Karen which is obviously a lie. I also think she probably had a problem with Hanif!"

A few murmured amongst themselves. John Snav growled and nodded his agreement.

"Where is Karen?" asked Farlig. Everyone looked around but no one knew where she was. Farlig frowned at this.

"I don't know, but Karen is guilty in my book unless she shows up and explains her lies to my satisfaction," declared Dame Sami.

The Captain came into the room, fresh off his yacht. "I say, this Karen gal seems suspicious, and she never even bought me a drink," he said sadly.

Glory spotted Karen slumped in the corner, apparently sleeping. "There she is. Look, my kids call me a Karen and I want nothing to do with one. She looks guilty to me. Just look at the way she sleeps!"

Everyone marched over to Karen, expecting her to defend herself. But Karen just snored.

Someone tossed Karen a blanket. Then they used it to smother her.

It was the end of Karen's world.

Karen is a perfectly nice lady who is somewhere in her 30s or 40s. She's a mother of an indeterminate amount of kids, the oldest being a teenager, the youngest being younger and not a teenager. She has an etsy shop and sells home decor, mostly pillows and signs of the live laugh love variety, but some funny ones as well about cats and coffee and other relatable topics. That's actually her side hustle though; her real job is something else. Karen goes out of her way to not be a "Karen"! It's made her into a bit of a doormat, and honestly, it kind of ticks her off.
