I've run a few games of Resistance on our other mafia site. People seem to like the game, but it is a fast paced game and it is very hard to get 10 active people over there so they tend to drag a bit. I would be happy to try running a game over here if there is enough interest. The game works kind of like mafia except nobody dies. If someone is a suspect spy then they are just left off mission teams. Roles aren't revealed until the game is over.

No idea what I'm talking about? Watch this video. I'm talking about a forum version of this tabletop game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_QRczGzXqw

Here are my forum version rules and game setup for a 9 or 10 person game.

Game Play

At the start of the game, one third of the group (rounded down to the nearest whole number) are randomly and secretly chosen to be Imperial Spies, while the rest of the group are Resistance. One of the players is selected to be the Mission Leader. The Imperial Spies are made aware of each other without the Resistance members knowing but they cannot communicate outside the main game thread. The only thing the Resistance members know is how many spies exist, not who they are. Players may never reveal their identity to other players.

The Resistance win if 3 of the 5 missions are successfully completed. The spies win if they are able to sabotage 3 missions.

Rounds

During each round of the game a new player becomes the new Leader. The Leader selects a certain number of players to send out on a mission (the Leader may choose to go out on the mission himself), starting with Mission 1. Once the leader has proposed the team, all players have 24 hours to discuss the Leader's choice and vote [PM] on whether to accept the team make-up or not. All votes will be revealed publicly when all are received or time has expired. Anybody that does not send in a vote to the mod will be taken as a silent approval vote. If a majority of players vote no to the proposal, leadership passes on to the next player, who proposes his own mission team. This continues until a majority of players agree with the current Leader's mission assignment. If there are five rejected mission proposals in a row, the Imperial Spies automatically win the game.

Missions

Resistance sent on missions must vote for the mission to succeed, but they still need to send a PM to the mod to eliminate the possibility of cheating the game by looking at log ins. Spies may vote for success or failure, and should PM their decision to the mod. Mission success or failure will be revealed within an 8-12 hour window or as soon as all votes are received. If a resistance member fails to send in a vote, it is an automatic success vote. If a spy fails to send in a vote, the mod will assume a fail vote.

Mission and member count:
One: 3 team members
Two: 4 team members
Three: 4 team members
Four: 5 team members (this mission succeeds unless two fail votes are received)
Five: 5 team members
