Thanks for the comments so far guys! Great to be back. :)
Referencing Curtis' input and recs - yeah, I was thinking of doing Good Time eventually. Would have to put some serious thought in what music direction I'd go with for that video as it can really go in so many different directions. I'll take note of some of the tracks you mentioned - I've been wanting to do a Radiohead representation for awhile actually, it's just so hard to find the right occasion given Thom Yorke's vocal style is so distinct - I'm always worried that it would retract from the content being shown and in return look slightly cheesy, haha. So it would have to really fit well, but I'm sure a film will come along where the tone isn't as subtle (Persona, Burning, Lovesong), or over-the-top (Victoria, Christiane F) to where it would fall somewhere in the middle and be a perfect match - I've been eyeing Kid A in particular for awhile now.
Side note; have you seen the remake of Suspiria yet? Thom Yorke made the soundtrack to that, it's also directed by the director of Call Me By Your Name which is astounding given the 180 shift in tone and style between the 2 films. Highly recommended. I'm also sure you probably know about the lead guitarist of Radiohead; Jonny Greenwood, and the soundtracks he has made, correct? Almost every Paul Thomas Anderson film and Lynne Ramsay's 'You Were Never Really Here' with Joaquin Phoenix awhile back have all been scored by Greenwood.
I have quite the lineup planned, and I'll post them in here as well after I'm done making them. :)
Film: Short Term 12 (2013)
Director: Destin Daniel Cretton
Country: USA
-------------------------------
Artist: Jaguar Sun
Track: The Heart (2020)
Genre: Dream Pop
I figure some people in this group have probably seen (or atleast heard of) Short Term 12. The film that featured then start-up actors; Brie Larson, Rami Malek and Lakeith Stanfield. This film is underrated, and is absolutely beautiful (and depressing at the same time, but in a beautiful full circle kind of way).
I did manipulate the narrative a little bit to get a more self-contained story portrayed through this video. Just as a note, this video is not at all representative of what the actual film is about, the video is simply edited and spliced for dramatic effect. Watch the film, it's worth it.
Also, check out Jaguar Sun's music, it's out of this world and it always helps me get out of a mental slope. ❤
