I'm here for it under one condition: Can she not be Buffy?

I would be disappointed if they didn’t reboot it with a new lead.

Having an old lady hanging out with a bunch of youngsters while trying to be hip and trendy would be awkward.

I agree with Kenny. Why can't the new lead play a different Slayer? I'm not going to be able to get over new Buffy, new Giles, new Willow, new Xander, new Angel, new Spike, new Drusilla, new Darla, new Dawn, new Jonathan, new Cordelia, new Joyce! No.

SMG could be the new Giles, training all the young Slayers. But I don't know that she'd even sign on to play Buffy again.

If they were really clever about it they could rename it and make it more along the lines of a Doctor Who style affair where they could change the lead into a new slayer when it gets tired and old.

I seriously hate reboots. They're so lazy. Come up with new ideas. Or make something connected to an old series, but don't remake it completely. They could just call it The Slayer or Sunnydale or Hellmouth or something. I'm going to get Joss on the phone right now.
