I decided to take it upon myself to go through the confessionals and everything and whip up an edgic chart myself since the hosts FLOPPED AT IT.

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS MY FIRST TIME DOING EDGIC. So if you disagree with something or think I have something wrong, don't @ me. Also some ratings may be a bit skewed since not everyone labeled their rounds/episodes, and some people didn't confess that much. For certain rounds, I tried to think about who had a heavy impact that round and based edgic around that. Confessionals were my MAIN focus, but since not everyone was consistent with confessing (myself included), I couldn't base ratings ONLY around that. I also tried my best to think about how episodes would be edited in the ACTUAL SHOW and that also played a factor into my decisions.

AND I TRIED TO REMAIN AS UN-BIASED AS POSSIBLE.

OVERALL RATINGS:

TRAVIS | UTRN

Despite being such a non-factor, he was given quite a bit of negative SPV that first round. Despite not ever confessing, I bumped him up to an UTRN2 because I feel like he would be edited as the oddball who doesn't fit in and none of his tribe can stand him.

GEORGIA | UTR

Complete non-entity.

DYLAN | OTTN

Never confessed but HOLY SHIT did he get a fuck ton of negative SPV during his three rounds in the game. If he would have confessed the first episode and had given some thoughts as to why he split the tribes the way he did, it could have warranted him at least ONE CPN. But because he never gave his thoughts on what he was doing, his entire existence in this game was EVERYONE ELSE BITCHING ABOUT HIM. Hilarious. Definitely the pre-merge villain that every season of Survivor has.

FRANK | UTR

If INV was a thing in ORG's, then he would get it. In the actual show, he would get ZERO content. MAAAAAYBE one confessional during his 4 episodes. But because he never confessed AND he was medically evacuated, the editors would have completely PURPLED him.

JOSLIN | UTR

Thought about making her MOR but to be honest, she only really confessed the first two rounds of the game and the only reason she got OTTN during her last episode was because of her blow up after getting voted out. Her arc is exactly what I thought it would be. Similarly to Lucy Huang in MvGX, she would be pretty UTR until her last episode when she suddenly rises in screen time and negative content.

BIANCA | OTT

Bianca was a cute little presence. I predicted her being UTRP overall but a lot of her content seemed more OTT to me. A very WEAK OTT for the most part, since I wouldn't see her getting much screen time. But a lot of her content would be her reacting to things and being borderline delusional with her position in the game. But because she's a positive character, her delusion isn't painted in a negative light. The audience would be more like "awww bless her heart."

TROY | UTR

Honestly I could see an argument for CP overall but I ultimately put UTR because he was almost entirely invisible during the first part of the game. NO ONE EVER TALKED ABOUT HIM. At least not until late pre-merge when he started being talked about by Dean and somewhat Bobby. He had a heavy hand in the Bianca vote but then was immediately taken out right after in the merge. That's actually a good way to describe his edit. I think it would be similar to Will Wahl in MvGX. Literally invisible until a couple of random CP/OTT episodes where he is immediately voted out right after.

WENDY | CPN

What a character tbh! Overwhelmingly negative, whether it was SPV from other people or if it was her being delusional. Ultimately she got CP because no one can deny she had SUCH a hand in things pre-merge. When she started receiving MORN/OTTN, it was around the time when people started getting really fed up with her and therefore, a lot of her commentary wasn't exactly what was actually happening around her and it all seemed more like false narration and negative reactions to things.

AUSENIA | OTTP

I couldn't have been more wrong. I mean obviously ORG's are different from the actual show, but I always pictured in my mind that if this were the real show, Ausenia would be edited way down due to her being rocked out, and ultimately Maxwell would be the Otra favorite. But Ausenia was the OTT underdog that this season needed! She didn't confess in her last episode but I imagined that because she was the only Otra really giving it her all in confessionals and stuff, editors would HAVE to give her a positive edit with lots of content, especially in her last episode. She reacted A LOT to things in her confessional, but also never really got any negative SPV. And the negative SPV she did get were from people who were negative themselves so I didn't really count it.

MAXWELL | UTR

MAXWELL WTF. Had such a promising start and then just dipped out. I understand he was hosting games at the same time though so he was busy. I would imagine in the edit, Ausenia would be getting ALL OF THE CONTENT out of the Otra underdogs because #confessionalqueen, and then once she gets rocked out, the editors turn to Maxwell but by that time, it's too late for him and he's promptly voted out. Also Maxwell would definitely get some content from his and Dean's relationship but it was hard for me to do much with that with information only coming from one of them. So ultimately, had to go with UTR.

DEAN | MORP

It's hard for me to think of who would get the "hero exit" music out of Dean and Ausenia, but I'm inclined to say Dean right now? Or both of them could get it! I guess it's not a rule that only one person can get it each season on the show. Anyway, Dean comes out of the season as a hero, with a bit of negative content here and there. The negative content comes from episode 4, when he spills to Maxwell about the Fab 5 for.... really no reason and he himself calls it messy and wasn't sure why he did it. And in episode 7, he's slightly delusional when he really thinks he has the game in the bag and Lauren in his pocket. Meanwhile, a lot of people are giving him negative SPV. But ultimately, he humbles himself and keeps on trying! The audience will remember him for shaking up the game when the game needed to be shaken up the most and they will also remember him as the last person they were rooting for in the game. Everyone else left after he's voted out are either very polarizing or very "meh."

MIAMI | CPM

I was shocked that Miami wasn't OTT overall! But she was mainly only OTT after she hit the merge when she became a paranoid mess. Before the merge, she had a lot of solid thoughts and strategies. She had her CP moments during the merge as well, such as getting most of the airtime during the rock episode when she approaches Santi about flipping. Her edgic bar is amazing, as you can literally see her fall from grace unfold. She's very calm and collected pre-merge, and you just witness her becoming unhinged and OTT after the merge. I can't think of someone her edit would be like, but I mentioned it before, she would be THAT contestant that internet forums bicker over. Either they absolutely love her, or they absolutely hate her.

SANTIAGO | UTRN

Literally his edit revolves around his rivalry with Lauren. If this was a scripted drama, viewers may consider him as a stepping stone form Lauren's character arc. The most game content he receives is during the Final 8 where his vote is the sole reason everyone goes to rocks. I feel like there are a lot of underedited 4th placers in the real show, and he would be one of them.

LAUREN |CPN

WHEWWWWWWWWWWWWW. BITCH. I don't think I even need to explain this one. The proof is in the pudding.

BOBBY | MORN

After reading confessionals, I do think Bobby would be edited to be the obvious 2nd placer. It's not that Bobby's game was bad at all, but he gets very little screen time at the start of the season, then gets some solid strategic content at the start of the merge. But after the Troy vote and the Final 9 vote fuck-up, he gets A LOT of negative SPV from people, combined with the fact that a lot of his confessionals aren't really spot on with what is actually happening. Also there's some whiny undertones here and there, so it would be hard for viewers to root for him, I think. Ultimately though, he was a pretty solid character in the merge and fell into some power positions a couple of times (although it wasn't always on purpose).

HAILEY | MOR

I thought I would end up being ultimately MORP, but because I was SO under the radar, not a lot of people had much to say about me (negative OR positive) and my confessionals were very matter-of-fact. So I ultimately went with MOR toneless. The positive episodes I DID get were episode 1 (where I get positive SPV from people's cast assessments), episode 9 (where my relationship with Dean unfolds), and the finale (where the three people I'm against have all gotten a majority negative edit). My edgic bar is pretty boring honestly, but it looks like a solid UTR winner. Being very UTR/MOR pre-merge and early merge, and then rising up towards the end to gain some power and momentum. BORING BUT EFFECTIVE.
