Regardless, I'll be ranking the castaways of Sierra Leone based on story line, gameplay, and overall placement within the cast. 42. TAYLOR

Placement: 38th
Edgic: INV1
SurvAv: 0.14
Season: Sierra Leone

Taylor was a massive miscalculation on the casting part of things. For one, she was a girl. Two, she had some sort of mysterious underlying history with Chandni that could (?) have caused drama. Three, she was a girl. All of these seemed like the ideal when sending her a cast packet, but - nop! I think Ashlee summarized it best in her pre-game thoughts when she said, "Literally only things I remember from Taylor are that she and Chandni don't get along at all and that she's like a fart." While a good fart joke is very highly appreciated, it apparently doesn't transfer over to the world of Endure.

The story of Taylor in Endure is really quite simple. Taylor actually showed up to the first challenge and did decently well after consistent heckling from her tribe to show up, this was when she first signed up for the board (despite it occurring about a day after cast release.) Luckily, Ferrous dominated the first challenge for her to hang on to strings - that's, of course, assuming she ever even grabbed to robe in the first place. After not showing up at all following, and pissing off fellow tribemates who actually needed to sit out of the posting challenge, Ferrous ultimately lost and booted her (in one of the few non-live TCs of the season.) Taylor stands at the bottom of the trifecta of inactives of Endure one. I imagine she's deeply saddened by that news, as she does the pot now. RIP Queen Taylor.

41. CONNOR

Placement: 41st
Edgic: UTR1
SurvAv: 0
Season: Sierra Leone

Connor is nice. I have very little to say outside of that.

He's second on the trifecta of inactives but places slightly above Taylor for a couple of reasons. The first of which, Connor showed up out of nowhere and literally became the BEST at the first challenge. His time on his segment was half that of all of his opponents on his leg. People on the other tribes were talking about looking out for this Connor kid, who we, as production, all knew wasn't really around - hilarious subplot before his demise. Secondly, not only did he not show up, but somehow despite not being around, he convinced Trent to not vote for him in some weird pact that they had where - hold your breath - Connor doesn't even vote, the vote going 6-1 with Connor self-voting, Eric getting a vote, and creating a large endless storyline of no one really wanting Eric in the game. Just one of the seven messes of the Livadi tribe.

40. MARIE

Placement: 36th
Edgic: UTR1
SurvAv: 0.31
Season: Sierra Leone

In my pre-game assessment of Marie, I said, "So there's the ultimate question of Marie, does she flake it, or does she make end game?" FLAKED IT! Marie tops the trifecta of Endure inactives. Endractives? Endructives? Dru? Help? In fact - the hilarity behind Marie is probably the fact that she was more active in the game after she was out than when she was in. Beyond that her reputation lasted long after she left as Queen Marie, Keith's true love interest for the game:

Posted Image

Her in game existence and story line weren't nearly as amazing as her reputation outside. On Bauxite they all talked crap about her inactivity as she was dragged along on the new players tribes bizarre challenge streak that nobody expected. The only person that wanted to keep her was Rachel in some gigantic Rachel plot, that in reality, really would have worked had it come to fruition. Marie's confessional about Gaston is everything you ever wanted and expected out of life though.

39. ARI

Placement: 33rd
Edgic: UTR1
SurvAv: 0.82
Season: Sierra Leone

Ari is one of my greatest friends online; however, she wasn't really all that present as a player in this game. From Day One she served as more of a follower to the train wreck of the Livadi tribe. Already being close to Jamie E, she easily fell into the quick majority of Eric/Trent/Jamie on the twitter tribe that really dominated the first couple rounds of this game. Had this been a game where original tribes stayed for a long time, and there wasn't as many players, surely Ari would have been one of the last boots on Livadi.

Besides her excellent placement on Livadi, Ari's game lost a lot of steam after the tribe swap. She ended up on Kakim, and kind of just carried on the hilarious Kakim curse, the tribe who never actually lost a challenge but consistently kept losing members (she was the second after Marie.) Having to deal with personal family issues, she had to bow out of the game. Though ultimately, under the Kakim tribe dynamics, she would have been next to go.

But she did add some excellent flowers to the top of their tribe flag!

38. ATLAN

Placement: 28th
Edgic: UTR1
SurvAv: 2.89
Season: Sierra Leone

Atlan wasn't all that exciting in terms of gameplay, and in the end as a viewer, his presence actually just kind of annoyed me. Not that Atlan isn't a great guy, in fact, he's hilarious! Gameplay and story wise, not my favourite. Starting out on Bauxite, he was kind of in the same clueless sinking ship as everyone else on a tribe that had no idea what they were doing but still managed to scathe by on challenge wins. He had a majority.. sort of? Bauxite was weird. One of his funnier moments, doesn't even really include him, but more so lies in Nikki's excellent tribe picking skills which took him from a majority alliance, to being on Yeliwor.

Yeliwor was one of my favourite tribes, mostly because of the fact that they were the biggest train wreck of a tribe in this game. Atlan somehow found himself dragged in by the #menimist alliance, and despite being a main target for doing pretty much next to nothing in challenges, scraped by with an alliance that was dragging him through. There's no doubt that he would have made the dissolve had Jeffrey not inevitably kidnapped him just to vote him out.

And true to form, the most interesting part of Atlan's boot had nothing to do with him, as Jeffrey threw his vote to Cristina starting a game-long feud. Shocker.

37. LULU

Placement: 35th
Edgic: UTRP1
SurvAv: 0.96
Season: Sierra Leone

Lulu's reputation in this game overshadows her gameplay by a lot. She's the girl who couldn't eat the cookie! Also, unfortunately, the only person from her season of Survivor Facebook not to make the top ten in the game. The game did come at a bad time for her, the swap especially as she was off on vacation for a week! But ya'know, all's fair in love and Endure. One of my favourite pre-merge storylines does involve Lulu however - and that's just straight up how she could not eat the damn cookies.

Posted Image

Look at the utter defeat in her eyes as she whispers, "is there a time limit to this?"

Other tribes were literally complaining in round two when the Adamus tribe won immunity because someone in the game had to go home before this chick who couldn't eat a cookie. There was shock and disgust when she wasn't the first to go home since obviously her time had cost the tribe immunity. And inevitably, when she ended up on Yeliwor, they were even more shocked when this dang girl, who couldn't eat the cookie, wouldn't even message them back!! Lulu ended up being the first of four female casualties on Yeliwor, but the question still rests, can she eat the cookie?

36. BIG MIKE

Placement: 42nd
Edgic: UTRN1
SurvAv: 0
Season: Sierra Leone

The original first boot! And what a first boot at that - I love me some Big Mike. I will be the first to say, and you may quote me on this, that Big Mike got ROYALLY screwed over by casting and people dropping out, tribes having to move etc. (Also, kind of thank god, can you imagine a Bryce-less season? I can't.) BUT, yeah, Big Mike was the character that could have been, that wasn't, due to circumstances really out of his control. Though, in the one round that he was there, he thoroughly entertained me beyond any shred of doubt.

I have never in my life seen a man swallow an egg with such conviction. Literally smashed it over his mouth. It really was both the most amazing and most disgusting thing I've seen in my short lifetime. And it made for this eggs-cellent meme.

Big Mike probably even would have been higher - but his social game kind of fell flat when he thought he was royally screwed, going into the vote it was 4-3 (B and G, obviously), and if he had been able to convince one more person to take out Lulu, who had done nothing, we'd probably have a much different game. But alas, that's how the cookie crumbles. Heh.

35. GRAY

Placement: 40th
Edgic: MOR3
SurvAv: 0
Season: Sierra Leone

Let me preface this with the fact that it took everything in me not to put Gray higher due to his pure entertainment value, but I can't because he was only in this game round one and really did nothing of value but make me love him. Let's start with the fact that Gray is a slow burner, he's not quick to the punch in terms of making connections and the fact that he came into the game with Drew hating him was pretty much a death sentence from the get go. Like his reaction to his tribe reveal.

He did well in the relay, made friends with the people on the tribe Drew didn't have on lock, honestly - had Hodges/Cristina/Jamie decided to not just go with the flow, I think they could have turned Aurum around. Honestly, don't think there was a thing that Gray could have done in order to save his ass that he didn't do, people just weren't willing to rock the boat during that first vote. But his reaction to his vote out was shared by me:

34. CHANDNI

Placement: 32nd
Edgic: UTRP1
SurvAv: 2.65
Season: Sierra Leone

Chandni is one of the most passionate players I've ever witnessed, who just always gets the blunt end of the stick. What I love about her character is here we have this fifteen year old girl, and you think to yourself - groan, a kid - and then she's definitely smarter than me. In terms of casting and playing the game this time around, she was just left out time and time again, which was sad but kind of entertaining.

She was initially left out of the Ferrous Four but was a step ahead of Jack in terms of boot order. She was the first victim of the Slave Trade (due to Marie quitting) and ended up being on a very close minority on Yeliwor. Chandni's boot was probably by far one of the most shocking and unreal experiences. It was the second in the series of #menimist boots and begins the sad long story line of TJ having literally no idea what happened in any vote.

I think her final round confessional title really kind of encompasses everything. "What's happening...."

33. COURTNEY

Placement: 39th
Edgic: MORP3
SurvAv: 2.4
Season: Sierra Leone

Ok, I'll admit, this one is a little higher than it probably should be. Especially when taking into consideration her lack of confessionals. There's just something about Courtney's attitude coming into the game, and going out that really appealed to me as a viewer. The Livadi tribe was a train wreck, you had two members who were absolutely bitter to even be on there in the first place, and a bunch of mixed feelings of hatred or love or even some old relationship stuff (?) It was weird. Courtney kind of played it the middle there.

Actually, if you read the pre-game, she's one of the Prediction Writers favourites, she's charming, funny, and sweet. Honestly - I wish she'd lasted longer and we'd gotten rid of someone else. Either way, the tribal council that Courtney left was kind of a diamond in the rough, she knew she was going home, and despite all that she answered every question with dignity, tried to talk to the members of her tribe, and left classy as all hell, what a bae. Gosh. Love her.

32. HODGES

Placement: 37th
Edgic: MORN3
SurvAv: 2.4
Season: Sierra Leone

Hodges was one of the bigger names on the iSurv1vor name, perhaps arguably. But he's had an excellent track record, with a series of runner ups (and none of them due to being any sort of goat. Going in the only real connection he had was Cristina who was third in his inaugural season, so instantly that was a connection. Two extremely disgustingly kind-hearted people. So kind in fact, that one time I got lost, and Hodges tried to find me. I'm still lost to this day but the sentiments are there.

His untimely demise came at the hands of just genuinely trusting Dru - a mistake that most people make, mind you. In the first round, getting rid of Gray was really his only chance to turn things around, Jamie had already attached on to the Vic's Dicks alliance (Yes, this was a real alliance name.) And frankly - Cristina was nowhere close to being as threatening as Cristina.

But he did host a pretty sweet talk show with Dru while he was there, there were whisks!

IF ONLY I HAD THE PICTURE.

31. ERIC

Placement: 19th
Edgic: OTTN3
SurvAv: 2.05
Season: Sierra Leone

Call this one bitter, but I would place it much lower if I could honestly. There's just something about a player with intense trust issues even towards the production staff that makes me already bitter. Right from the get go, Eric blocked every person from his journal for the sole purpose that someone from a previous game had leaked confessionals. He concentrated on his other game much more than this one, and to players in this game it was the only thing he ever talked about. Sam had played the exact same game, but she still knew how to socialize about her life, and not just say "Hey - I'm playing another game, let's only talk about that one ever." In that sense, he got off on the wrong foot with a lot of people.

Despite being in the Livadi majority, he got picked onto Mayagba to be an early and easy vote off. They never lost. He begged Patty to be traded because he didn't want to be with them anymore, Patty didn't want to be with him. He ended up on the #menimists because he knew Jamie, where he was a part of the Lindsay boot (MAJOR THUMBS DOWN!!) Then pretty much stopped showing up, voted TJ, and then got swapped onto Bo, where he broke the screenshot rule by formulating a fake screenshot with a fake idol with an Ashlee post - sigh. So much wrong. Inevitably, this fake idol got Jamie E out of the game (MAJOR MAJOR THUMBS DOWN!!) and then just bent over and accepted his fate by not participating in the next challenge at all.

UGH. BITTER. STUPID.

But he's blocked us all on Facebook and privatized all his confessionals now. So - l'chiem!

30. JACK

Placement: 34th
Edgic: OTTP3
SurvAv: 1.9
Season: Sierra Leone

First, let's let the mood: I personally am listening to my favourite Jack Estanavik single, Super Cool. But here's Jack's music. If you aren't listening, you are wrong, and immoral, and you don't belong here. I MOURNED A DEEP LOSS THE DAY JACK GOT VOTED OUT. I just - can't even believe at any point he was even a replacement, how sad is that. I can't even imagine not having Jack in the season mainly due to his sheer naive hilarity that he brought to the first few episodes of the game. Jack was always going to be "next to go" in all 3 episodes he was in, Taylor was his buffer, had Ferrous gone to tribal again, RIP. In the swap, he got caught up on Tasso with absolutely no members of his original tribe on there.

Posted Image

Jack, our reaction is the same as yours! How dreadful.

Honestly, in terms of gameplay, Jack should be so much lower. His social game was pretty dismal despite his insistence that conversation is a "two way street." But who else made title images for their confessionals? NONE OF YOU. Bow down, you ain't super cool. Number 30!

29. XANDER

Placement: 24th
Edgic: MOR3
SurvAv: 4.12
Season: Sierra Leone

Let's start with the fact that when I asked Xander to pick a nickname to go as (because we already had an Alex) that he chose not to go with Buck because he wasn't straight enough for it, and decided to go with Xander despite it sounding like the name of a twink from a porno. Excellent! Xander and I have played our fair share of games together, he's a very emotional player (and is known for it!) He was apart of arguably the strongest casted tribe of Rutilus and played a solid first half of the game.

Arguably, he was pretty irrelevant to the overall story line. He solidly managed to be in the majority on most tribes - had an incredible alliance with Alex called AleXander, which - ya'know, that's just good.. so good. He remained on a solid position throughout Tasso, also a part of the Tasso takeover on the two rulers of Gabe and Jamie Austin. The real good part of Xander's story line is his ultimate demise. Ya'know, the second that he realized that Rachel was the rat to the iSF alliance, said one snarky comment in tribal council, and then it all ended with this amazing reaction from everyone:

Posted Image

Xander, shocked. Matt, in disbelief he's not going home. Dru, Patty and Ricky, all smug. Yap, with that stupid fucking gun he wouldn't get rid of. Rachel, sad to lose someone who she ultimately controlled. And of course, TJ, once again, unable to be involved in the plans of a vote.
