WELCOME TWO TRIBES OF TEN!! WHEW!!

Alright! So far we've tested your logical thinking capabilities. We've tested your mind reading skills. We've tested your physical prowess. Tonight we test your quick timing, your quick thinking, your brute force posting abilities, and maybe a little bit of luck. Tonight we go back to high school gym class. Hike up your gym shorts, and grab your coloured pinnies because it's time for a good ol' fashioned game of:




This challenge is adopted from the alias format of games and will rely on you to work together to constantly be on alert, think quick, and react quicker.

We've got two teams eager for immunity, we just need two balls... I know the perfect thing to chuck back and forth at each other!



Well would ya look at that! It's TSLEgg and 15 year old teenage angst Stephen! The two perfect traumatic entities to try to destroy people with. Lovely.

Enough preamble, here's how it works:

THROWING/DODGING
---

As just mentioned, TSL and Stephen's heads serve as the dodgeballs for this challenge. At the beginning of the challenge the balls begin the game in the center of the arena. To claim one, someone from your tribe must post :your name here: claims : stephen : / : tsl : (remove the spaces between the colons.

To throw the ball, you must post the following:

NOTE: These must be images. You must use the word icon code filter correctly in order for your actions to count. Any broken code or misused image will not count.

The player thrown at will have exactly 30 seconds to post in the thread with the following:

Dodges ball thrown by :name:

If they're successful, anyone on the tribe that was just thrown at can take possession of that ball and throw it at somebody else. You have TWO minutes to throw the ball back, but please try not to take that long. If you hold the ball for more than two minutes, you (whoever was just thrown at and dodged) will be automatically eliminated.

This will also reset the ball back into the center for anyone to post and claim. To do this, just post ":name: claims : stephen : / : tsl :". You don't have to wait for our confirmation that a ball is reset to pick it up, just watch the times.

If no one picks up a ball within 2 minutes, we'll randomize it to a player.


CATCHING
---

If a player is thrown at, they also have a chance to catch the ball. If a player responds within 10 seconds with a catch, they will eliminate the thrower from the challenge. But be careful, if a catcher posts and misses the 10 second time frame or tries to catch the wrong ball, they will fail to catch the ball and it will hit them, eliminating them on the spot.

DOCTORS
---

The tribe Doctor has the ability to revive every member of their tribe one time during the game. (Not one overall, one for each player). To do this, the Doctor needs to post the following:

Once they do, that player is back in the game and has a second chance. The doctor can't revive themselves, so tribes would be smart to sniff out the opposing tribes' doctor and attempt to eliminate them early. Do your best to keep your tribe's Doctor hidden!

ADDITIONAL RULES
---

You cannot post decoy posts trying to throw or catch balls that you do not have. If anyone does this intentionally then they'll be eliminated from the challenge

There will be a 10 second post restriction to make things more difficult. Once you post once, you can't post again for 10 more seconds. If you make an error, this'll give you little time to recover.

After every elimination, production will temporarily lock the post thus suspending the game. This is for general cleanup, and updates so that the challenge remains organized and operates smoothly with as little confusion as possible. Whoever was in possession of the balls right before elimination will retain possession of the ball and any throwing that occurred after the elimination will not count.

If the challenge passes the one hour mark, a third ball will be introduced into the game. A new ball will be introduced every hour the challenge continues to make the more difficult and speed up the elimination process.



Once all of your tribe members have been eliminated from the challenge, your tribe is out. The tribe that still has members standing will win immunity, and guarantee themselves a spot in the Final 19!

The challenge begins at 9 PM EST tonight. You have until 8 PM EST to notify the hosts in your tribe camps of who your tribe doctor will be. Any additional questions? Just ping us.


Best of luck!

1) Using spoiler tags, codes, quotes, or any additional forum functionalities to try to mask or hide posts count as decoy posts and will not count. You will be eliminated from the challenge if you try and bend the rules.

2) We are not going to be picky on capitalization or punctuation -- but we will be picky on spelling and correct usage of wordfilters.

3) Once someone on your tribe dodges a ball, you do not have to claim the ball. The only time you will claim a ball is at the beginning of the challenge, or if it is not thrown and is reset into the middle. Here's a brief example:

Say Tribe I has tribemates A and B.
Tribe II has tribemates C and D.

A throws at C

C would post: Dodges ball thrown by A

D could follow up this dodge with the post:

D throws at B

4) Two people can throw the ball at the same person at the same time. That person then has to perform two actions in the order that they were performed on them within the thirty seconds; they must respond to the first throw and then the second throw just like a real time dodgeball game. If they catch one of the balls and fails to dodge the second ball, the person who threw the ball they caught is out and they are also out for failing to dodge. A person cannot fail to dodge the first ball and catch the second ball. I.e. if A throws at B, C throws at B, B catches A and B dodges/fails to dodge C -- the game will pause after the two actions on one person with A being eliminated on the catch, and B remaining in the game/being eliminated depending on whether they dodged it or not.

5) If two people accidentally post the same throw at the same time, the first throw is the one that counts. I will do my best to clean up the thread if there are any communicative errors -- however I will be keeping notes on if there are any repeat offenders as they could be trying to bend the rules of the game as strategy. If you throw a ball that has already been thrown one time you will receive a warning. If you do it twice, you will be eliminated automatically. Please communicate with your tribe to ensure you are not doing this.

6) When the game is paused due to an elimination, the following post made by a production member counts as the resuming of the challenge. We will tell you where the balls are currently; either in possession by a tribe or up for grabs via claim.

7) You can only perform one action per post. No doubling up.

8) If you fail to dodge a ball: the ball remains on your side.

9) If you catch a ball incorrectly, you relinquish the ball and the ball becomes up for grabs.

7) If you do not throw the ball in the two minute timeframe, the ball is relinquished from your side and goes up for grabs.

8) If you catch the ball and refuse to throw it within the 2 minute timeframe, you are also eliminated and the ball goes up for grabs.

9) If you catch a ball, anyone is allowed to throw that ball.

At 9 PM EST, this thread will be used as the official challenge thread. We will post in here confirming the commencement of the challenge.

Until then, you are free to test wordfilters in your confessional to ensure you are familiar with them. Please delete your posts before the 8:30 PM EST.

At 8:30 EST, the edit and delete buttons will be removed from the board for the duration of the challenge. If you make a mistake in posting, as long as you post within the appropriate timeframe to dodge/catch, it will still count.
