Yeah I definitely wouldn't have won a season hosted by Aurora :deadbanana:
Thankfully that'll never happen... imagine the mess with my time zone if nothing else. :rip: I honestly don't know how Element has done it for so long!
:angelo:
I know Element likely hasn't started yet due to work, but next time I'll be online is for the next round so let me posting clues again. :katie2: (Try solving without these first, but hopefully these will assist!)
Spoiler
+
• FIRST CLUE: It's not completely tight, absent from the night, and needs a lowercase exchange to make it work just right. • SECOND CLUE / THIRD CLUE: With acapella covers busting rhymes beside her lover, this royal beetle surely is a woman like no other. • FOURTH CLUE: My doctor's visit running late, a grave mistake that sealed my fate. • FIFTH CLUE: No need to shift perspective, everything's nearly OK; this clue is less than obvious, but greater than its place. • SIXTH CLUE: The latter clue becomes untrue when viewed outside the thread, but Shelven makes one valid case to take you there instead. • SEVENTH CLUE: No further clues for this one, you're forever on your own... if you find you're feeling frazzled, will some force help crack this code?
After speaking with Element and determining the ones he is most unclear about, here are the final set of clues! Should hopefully clarify some things. :angelo:
1. The bolded words (see 2nd set of clues) all have something in common... or perhaps they do not. Do you now what it is?
2/3. Her second letter's qveer, not what it's meant to be... perhaps if she was born in Rome, her numeral you'd see?
4. Fifth to make it just in time, third to bid their team goodbye, first to transcend global lines; their leading letter you must find.
5. l feeI Iike this one is IiteraIIy OBVlOUS by now tbh... just as Iong as you have the right perspective.
6. The numbers refer to challenges during Let's Spoon 14
7. fff if you still can't get this one #flop
Since this challenge was such an iconic mess, and I'm feeling rather generous, I decided I wanted to give back a little bit of the pain Element put us through... by hiding a spoon for Element, too! Same challenge, same idea... however, different stakes. Like I said, I'm feeling rather generous. If Element finds the spoon before the end of Wednesday EST (i.e. before Round 36 begins), I will also donate $50 AUD to the winning team's charity, whoever that may be.
Here is the URL code for an Imgur album:
https://imgur.com/a/
After the /a/, there are seven characters to complete the URL. The following clues are for the seven characters that come after the /a/... These clues are in the order that the characters are in the link.
• FIRST CLUE: It's not completely tight, absent from the night, and needs a lowercase exchange to make it work just right. • SECOND CLUE / THIRD CLUE: No longer brokenhearted, past persona long departed... of my first and second letters, perhaps one number may be better? • FOURTH CLUE: I might be a little psycho, almost equalling its peak... with the difference corresponding to the letter which you seek. • FIFTH CLUE: I may mimic the appearance of a most important eye, but you'd surely know the difference if I were capitalised. • SIXTH CLUE: You'll find me twice in 1, in 11 twice again... however, never will you grab the case you'll want to claim. • SEVENTH CLUE: A hex was cast upon her with the poison apple's bite, without another dwarfish creature by her silent side, however will you bring the color back to poor Snow White?
Once you figure out what the seven characters are, use the link above, and try your characters out by typing them after the /a/, and hitting enter!
By my calculations Element has a bit over 14 hours, which should be plenty of time given we solved his clues in 1-3. :gaycat: Of course if anyone else wants to give this a go, please DM me here with your image of Element's spoon if that's something you'd be interested in and I may consider some extra charitable donations to the first sender(s). :angelo:
(If nobody has it in about ~6 hours when I'm on next I'll post some clues if anyone is interested.)
Congrats on Top 6 y'all, and happy Spooning!
• FIRST CLUE: It's not completely tight, absent from the night, and needs a lowercase exchange to make it work just right. k - the letter is missing from (k)not, (k)night, and (k)nead, which required one of its letters exchanged with a (a) lowercase letter to make it work (synonym of knead) just right.
• SECOND CLUE / THIRD CLUE: No longer brokenhearted, past persona long departed... of my first and second letters, perhaps one number may be better? Q5 - Refers to Qveen Herby, formerly of Karmin, who spawned hit singles "Brokenhearted" and "Acapella". Of her first two letters (Q and v) only one can be written as a single digit number (5, V in Roman numerals).
• FOURTH CLUE: I might be a little psycho, almost equalling its peak... with the difference corresponding to the letter which you seek. j - Team Psycho player jqnetto peaked at #11 in Let's Spoon 14, just one position shy of Sweet But Psycho's US Billboard Hot 100 peak of #10. 11-10=1, and the first letter of his username is j.
• FIFTH CLUE: I may mimic the appearance of a most important eye, but you'd surely know the difference if I were capitalised. l - A lowercase "L" looks very similar in appearance to un uppercase "i" in a lot of fonts... however, capitalising the L will surely distinguish them, just as long as you convert it back for the clue.
• SIXTH CLUE: You'll find me twice in 1, in 11 twice again... however, never will you grab the case you'll want to claim. g - Referring to the "GIF Grab" and "GeoGuessr" challenges during Let's Spoon 14. While there are two "G"s in both titles, there are no lowercase "g"s, which means this is the case you want to claim, as you never will from these challenge titles.
• SEVENTH CLUE: A hex was cast upon her with the poison apple's bite, without another dwarfish creature by her silent side, however will you bring the color back to poor Snow White? f - The hex and color parts of the clue refer to a hex color code for White (#ffffff), however without another dwarfish creature (lowercase letters) by her side, all you're left is is one lonely f.
The other clues should make a little more sense with the context of the answers, but assuming this thread will be closed soon, if anyone wants some explanations feel free to message me!
