Name: Arimnestos from Platea
Background:
Born the son of a blacksmith, Arimnestos is a fighter and a born killer of men. By the age of eleven he had killed three already. He fought alongside his father in a war against the Euboeans, when his father was stabbed in the back by a comrade. The murderer sold Arimnestos as a slave, but he was able to use his combat prowess to good advantage and he soon bought his own freedom. He fought many battles before finally being dubbed a hero.

He spent some time as a pirate, searching for further glory and seeking his vengeance. He eventually went on to lead the men of Platea in the battle of Marathon against the Persians. His ferocious combat prowess and status led him to be visited by Ares himself. Under Ares command, Arimnestos was sent to the time of legends, where his powers would truly shine. He became known as one of the greatest heroes in the land, his name alone carrying power.

Reason for Joining:
Though most of the heroes and mercenaries he called in came of their own free will, Minos insisted that Arimnestos be called in especially. Though reluctant at first due to the simplistic nature of the mission (a killer of men is no scout...), Arimnestos agreed purely for the money and the reputation. Minos is a powerful king, and this should be a very easy quest...
